Quarterback - Tennessee

Running backs - I'm having a hard time with this one it looks fairly even on paper so since we're playing at home, I'll go with Tennessee

Wide Receivers - Tennessee - Yes they are young but it doesn't look like that is effecting their performance.

Tight Ends - Are you kidding me? Tennessee for Sure

Field Goal Kicker - Can't get much better than Perfect - Lincoln wins! Tennessee

Punter - Colquit wins this - Tennessee

Offensive Line - We've allowed one sack all year - Georgia has allowed 6 Sacks - Tennessee

Punt Return Team - Georgia - I was or am not impressed with Hefney

Kick Return Team - Georgia - Until we start ripping off some major yardage I'm not sold.

Defensive Line - Georgia

Safeties - Georgia

Corners - Georgia

Basically anything that has to do with Defense I'm going to give to Georgia because of our past games. ASU game I seen some light at the end of the tunnel but still wasn't enough to be happy.

So, what do you guys think? What did I leave out, where did I go wrong?

The QB selection is debatable. Ainge and Stafford are very close talent wise. Ainge has more exp. and more targets however...

RB's: Georgia. Mareno is preforming better than Coker and Foster right now.

Let's just hope our O-line can open up some holes and we can have some resemblance of a running game, and our D-line can get some pressure, and our special teams coverage can keep Uga from starting at midfield all day, and I think we will be ok.

Wrong, Mareno is a bad man. And our D is that bad, so he'll rack up 150-200 by himself. we'll rack up 50-75 total with 3 backs

Our O-line is providing good pass protection but that's only half the equation. Our run blocking is inadequate at best. We need to hope that Coker is up to 100% game speed in the GA game and we may, just may be able to equalize some of the yards they're gonna reel off on the ground.
I beleive that Ainge is much better than Stafford at this point in time. He's put up really impressive numbers with a bum finger, bad game plans and only being allowed to throw <10 yards at a time. Plus I can count 10-12 dropped passes this years that should have been caught, mainly by Rodgers.
Defense and Special Teams go to GA by default. We could not be much worse than what we've shown so far.

Stafford and Ainge close? Seriously? Stafford might get to the point that he is at, or above, Ainge's level before he graduates but he is not even close right now. I would not even hesitate in taking Ainge over Stafford right now. Stafford does have talent and potential. But, he has a long way to go in the mental aspects. A lot of that has to do with maturing I think.

And, as for the RB comparison. Someone pointed out that the rating should go to Moreno because against our defense he will run for a bunch of yards. That very well might be teh case. But, the comparison he was making was just RB vs RB (no game circumstances involved). The defense got its own rating later. And, just RB vs RB I think our 1-3 is probably slightly better than their 1-3.

Is that all we have to do? With all the improvement in those areas that we've already seen in the past couple of years, I'm feeling pretty comfortable now.

Ok i think you forgot who kicks the field goals at GA while Lincoln is a solid kicker so far he is not as proved as brandon catu in the SEC he holds the record for third longest field goal without a tee... thats a lil bit better of a record than just 7/7 4 games into the season... plus lincolns longest is only in the low 40s i believe... i do believe he will be better that catu but not quite yet, plus catu has the experience in clinch situations

I agree with ya BT, I was having a rough time picking Lincoln, but it's hard to not pick him when he Kicks for your team... He's Perfect for the Season... and he's kicked a 47 yarder already.

When I was going over this with my Co-workers (I live in Georgia) and the question I asked them was this. Has Catu missed a FG this year? The answer was Yes.. So My Pick was Lincoln

That 47 yarder had another 10+ yards in it, I have been impressed. Why do UF turn this guy down?

I will continue to repeat myself on this issue. WE DON'T HAVE AN ADVANTAGE AT HOME. WE HAVE WON EXACTLY TWO BIG HOME GAMES THIS DECADE....'04 FLA AND '06 CAL.

WHY DO SOME THINK WE ARE BETTER AT HOME. WE HAVE BEEN A BETTER ROAD TEAM THIS DECADE........NOT EVEN CLOSE

I GET SO SICK OF HEARING....."SINCE WE ARE AT HOME, I WILL GIVE US THE EDGE, ETC....." RIDICULOUS

I commend your presentation. The all caps is a very effective use of vernacular. Our past record at home does not mean that in this particular game the conditions and atmosphere at Neyland Stadium is not an advantage to the Vols. We have apparently had trouble utilizing that advantage. That does not mean the advantage is not there. And, that does not mean that we will not be able to utilize the advantage in this particular game. It will most likely be a close game and if they are kicking a FG to try and win the game or trying to change a call at the line of scrimmage in a crucial 4th quarter 3rd down play then then the crowd will certainly be our advantage.

the liveliness, or lack thereof, for the arky st game is all the proof i need for me to know it doesn't matter if this game was played in Knoxville or Siberia.

You have to admit that the fans will be a little more stoked about playing GA than ArkySt. The place should be rockin'. Crowd noise can and does have an effect. How big, not sure, but you can bet it does.

They are going to have to do something to get the crowd lively. If the defense gives up a score on the first drive, for that matter a big play, it will be anything but rocking.

Yes, it does mean we don't have an advantage. With all due respect, you can't spin your way around the fact we have, for all practical purposes. lost our home field advantage.
We are not talking about changing the play at the line of scrimmage....you changed the subject to fit your argumemt. We are talking about the fact our home field does nothing for us when comparing like groups of players....in his instance, "running backs are close, so since we are playing at home, etc", has no merit because we have no home field advantage. Face the facts, my friend.
