Georgia would have a better chance. Historically, the loser of the SEC title game does not go to a BCS game.

Historically, the loser isn't ranked #1 going into that game.

BUT...you may still be correct. We were #2 in 2001 and ended up with a trip to the Citrus.

Top notch academic institution...believe the same can be said for most SEC schools. GA's may have gotten better after Jane Kemp left.

Young, improving football team? GA returned 13 starters 45 Letterman. Vols 13 starters 43 Letterman. Injuries to Holbert, Gaines, Cottam...etc and well Coker...Vols may have been the younger team.

I'm proud of CPF and this team....I'm proud that in the last 4 against Richt, CPF is 3-1, where in two games we took them to the woodshed. I'm proud of the fact he's one of five coach with 100 wins over .500. I'm proud of the fact that the Vols with one win are back in the SECCG. Which would be our 5th trip in the last 11 years.

Actually, since Georgia is in the top 10, if everyone keeps losing, and we knock off LSU, Georgia has an outside chance of getting to the BCS Championship game. It would take a lot of help, but it is possible and sickening.

I think it would be outstanding! 2 SEC schools in the BCS, 1 in the champ. game. Think of the revenue sharing, plus we can brag we beat the NC team, as I think Ga would beat whoever makes the game.
