George Barlow a possibility at DB coach?

Hmmm... Hadn't thought about it, but I guess it could work. He did work with/for Shoop at Vanderbilt and adds some more recruiting skills.

How about Malik Foreman as DB coach now. He could teach the youngsters the art of giving up on coverage when you are sure the QB will never throw at the WR you are covering and also teach them how to whiff on virtually every RB you tried to tackle in your career to keep the injuries low and the uniforms clean. Those smokey greys don't look good with mud or grass stains on them.

When Martinez was the DC at UGA, he was my favorite SEC coach, and I did not want him to lose his job.......

The bigger question. If Martínez is replaced. How long does it take to break the bad habits our guys learned under him? Or is the problem they didnt learn anything under him?

Or teach them how to run down a receiver who is about to score a sure touchdown and punch the ball out of his hand forcing a turnover keeping your team in the game.

I don't agree with what the poster said but I also don't think foreman gave his all by slowing down and giving up on the play in the UGA game. Luckily that seemed to be a learning lesson for him.

Somebody fill me in on Barlow? Is he the guy at NC State that had the 92nd passing defense this year?!

It appears he had some success at Vandy under Shoop, but I don't even see him that highly ranked as far as a recruiter according to 247.

Not sure what the circumstances were. Maybe they had some injuries. If the guy is good enough for Shoop and Doeren then that's good enough for me. Although I am curious if he had an offer to go to Penn State.
