Geno's reaction to UCONN ranked as a #2 seed in the tournament: "If we weren't called UCONN, we'd be a #1 seed." --What kind of a ridiculous statement is THAT?!!!!!! How many times do you think that UCONN has gotten a "higher" seed just because they are called UCONN?!!!!!!!
St. Johns shouldn't be in they barely made the play in game. The conference also has Butler, Xavier, Providence, and Georgetown - teams that couldn't win a game in the SEC. They're not mid-major but they're not power five eitherThe Big East had 5 teams make the tournament just 1 less than the Big 12. Don’t act like they play in a mid major
Uconn also played the hardest non conference schedule and won those games most top 25 wins of any teamSt. Johns shouldn't be in they barely made the play in game. Perhaps he is just an incessant whiner, who feels like he is entitled to the same preferential treatment that he and his players get from USA Basketball and ESPN everywhere else, and when he doesn't get it .... he acts as though he has been victimized by organized bias.Perhaps he feels his team needs a chip on their shoulder. Perhaps he feels they need an edge going into the tournament. Perhaps they need to feel a bit of disrespect. To my recollection, as the selections were going on they showed every team except UConn. Why? Because going to the tournament is not exciting to these kids.
And perhaps he is an expert psychological manipulator to motivate his team. Immediately after he told them the problem was not the players being tired but the players being selfish, the team turned around. Interesting, yes? Some said he threw his players under the bus. Some say he knew what he is doing.Perhaps he is just an incessant whiner, who feels like he is entitled to the same preferential treatment that he and his players get from USA Basketball and ESPN everywhere else, and when he doesn't get it .... he acts as though he has been victimized by organized bias.

They didn't show Tennessee or Louisville either. On purpose? Who knows?Perhaps he feels his team needs a chip on their shoulder. Perhaps he feels they need an edge going into the tournament. He is getting old and should be ready to retire. I hope he loses in the first round. people like him need to look back at themselves and take a different forward.Geno's reaction to UCONN ranked as a #2 seed in the tournament: "If we weren't called UCONN, we'd be a #1 seed." --What kind of a ridiculous statement is THAT?!!!!!! Sadly that works in society if you’re good at it and you get the right ppl pushing your narrative. In a way he’s doing his job, can’t stand him but he knows it works. Just watch his halftime drive by interviews he’s always trying to get the edge. The selection committee saw it differently, and they had good reason to.
Geno is a whiner, and he loves playing the victim card.
