We all know how good of a coach Bob Neyland was. Maybe this isn’t thread worthy, and Freak, apologize for that.
Just read in another thread how, if Auburn wanted Stoops and had to buyout Malzahn, they’d be looking at (when the smoke clears) something like $100,000,000.00 to get that going. Fisher gets guaranteed $75,000,000.00 from TAM. Saban can only ski behind one yacht at a time.
Some questions:
1) If General Neyland suddenly came to life, what would he think of these salaries and buyouts?
2) Would he think he was born 70 years too soon?
3) Has football evolved beyond reason?

caveat on dumb thread: As of Saturday night, it’s officially the off season. We are a basketball school and football threads can and will deteriorate. By the way: headcount for Ga State game. Oh. That’s another thread for another time.

how do you know that the General is not aware of the state of college football...:D

PS. of course, he wouldn't like it and not just for the money reasons...football today is like daylight and dark compared to the General's day...he'd just say...

GO VOLS...RECRUIT LIKE HECK!

At this very moment in time, to reporters nagging him about possible OC hires, he'd reply, "Oskie!"
