had so much more impact on the program than Ed Orgeron. All of the people heralding what an upgrade hiring a glorified personal trainer was really nailed that one.

I bet the NCAA will agree Orgeron had a much larger impact on UT football

We'll see how much positive impact Ogre had on the program after all is said and done. The NCAA is investigating how his dumb ass blatantly worked out Brandon Willis against the rules. Oh, and of course his recruiting tactics.

CCS IMO is a very big loss, why UT can not keep a coach longer than a year is beyond me. How can we teach VFL, yet those selling it are not living it, esp. Since the guy leaving is a former Vol!

It'll be interesting to see how many contributors on the DL next year are Orgeron recruits vs. how many are CCS recruits.

"For life" is much shorter than it used to be.

He will still wear UT sweaters while on the coach watching tv. I mean you do know we went to the bookstore and got a bunch of stuff while harassing and being rude to a worker there :)

I think he was asked to leave too. But even if he wasn't, I don't think Dooley and co tried to get him to stay.

CCS could also have seen the writing on the wall and essentially made it a mutual parting of ways.

At least... Dooley doesn't seem like the type to hang on to mediocre year after year. Plus, it doesn't seem to be a good 'ol boy network, which is a plus.

i know people will be more likely to agree with this sentiment now that he is gone, but i never understood why people made such a big deal about chuck smith.

i know he was a great player at tennessee.

but, i don't even think he has been coaching for that long. everyone acted like he was one of the premier d-line coaches in america.

Should CCS have held workouts for our DL recruits before they signed a LOI?

As a personal trainer. I get so tired of people acting as if running summer workouts and spending a season getting Rex Ryan coffee makes a guy a coach.
