I've beaten them all, and I already have GOW 3 and Judgment from when they were on the Games With Gold list. I think the original was a GWG game about a year ago as well but I missed that one.

Still it will be cool to have the first 2 digitally as well, especially since they are both like $20 each on the Xbox Live shop.

Can't wait to grab this. Also is great that if you play mulit-player before the end of the year, you get Gears 2 and 3 free for backward compatibility.

Brings back memories for sure. Played a few last night and I was terrible. But then again, never was good at any of them past gears 1

Gears 3 took all the wind out of the sails for me and this series. one giant fetch quest with no ammo.

We had a lot of fun last night running the old maps. They did a great job IMO.

Make sure you play the new Gears before the end of the year; much like the Halo MCC issue where you got ODST for free if you played online during a certain time, you have to play the new Gears by the end of the year to get the 4 previous games for free.

Yup just had time to go through the campaign again and loved it. The cutscenes where nicely polished and the extra Timgad chapter was very nice. Timgad was a PC exclusive back in the day so I've never played it. Play on cranking up some Deathmatch and get my ass kicked lol. Anyone want to hit me up my tag is LazeeD4163

I'm having fun playing it and it's like having a flashback. The original Gears of War was the first game I got for my 360.

Well Rob is starting to drop hints about the story of Gears 4. I am willing to bet that J.D. is the son of Marcus and Anya. Not to mention the new Phoenix Symbol that looks like is going to replace the COG Symbol. I think Gears 4 will pick up 25-40 years after the end of Gears 3

Labancy was destroyed by Adam Fenix at the end of 3 along with anything infected by it. We are lead to believe that The Locust are completely destroyed, but what happened to the other Riftworms. The Locusts worshiped 3 Riftworms as deities. Delta killed one of them in part 2 but the Lightmass Bomb woke it up. We still don't know the fates of the other two.

Finally if the Riftworms were in some kind of hibernation maybe there is a Locust King of some kind that has been hibernating in some unknown part of the Inner Hollow. I highly doubt sinking Jacinto caused every part of The Hollow to be flooded. The Locust was able to invade every city on the planet Sera with the exception of those on the Jacinto Plateau on E-Day. The Hollow had to be planet wide so there is no way it was completely flooded.
