Do I stand corrected or were there alot of (no call)elbows thrown gaining offensive position underneath the basket at least that is what it semed like whenever the Gators were down low.I think they call them at TBA and we can expect a different kind of game then.

The refs were the least of our problems today, but they missed a few calls.

Any word on Brewer? It would be a shame if Donovan lost him trying to run up the score in the final 2 minutes...

yeah i saw several no-calls on elbows from Noah. I don't know if he was just getting the superstar treatment, or if they were just missed calls, but they were there. I'm glad Brewer got hurt too. It was pissing me off that they left the starters in when the game was out of reach. I'd love for a punk move like that to cost UF one of their best players.

Just for the record, I never said that I was glad Brewer got hurt, I just think that he probably should have been out of the game at that point.

I was udner the impression that lowering your shoulder to create position was an offensive foul. I know I saw Horford and Noah do that a few times. One of the broadcasters even announced it as "Horford lowers his shoulder and lays it in." Those few times wouldn't have made a difference in the final outcome, but still.

Am I wrong?

You're a better man than me, OWB. Brewer is the UF player I dislike most. I'd never want an injury to be career-ending or anything, but I have no problem with a player I dislike so much getting hurt when he shouldn't have even been in the game.

If you're wrong, then I am too...I was thinking the same thing the whole time. I was watching the game with a Florida fan and even he was surprised there were no offensive fouls called on them.

Now that you brought that to light,it has to be one of the worse decisions he has ever made.

It seemed like street ball at times.

He must make a habit of it, he had starters in at the same point of the Ohio State game, and that one was farther out of reach than today's game was.

WOW! I didn't get to watch or listen to the game today. That must have been the most terrible officiating in history to cost us the game since we lost by 16 points!:realmad:

In no way did the officiating cost us this game, but Horford does lower his shoulder everytime he catches the ball. The Rasheed Wallace "Pulling the Chair" move would have be a great idea by the defender, and Kim Noah shoves somebody basically everytime a ball is shot, but still we were definately were overmatched. Especially with the equalizer healing up on the sidelines. Can't wait to get 5 back on the floor! And on the Brewer topic, I was just discussing with my dad earlier in the game when Brewer wildy ran over Bradshaw that one would think that a person so weak and frail would not throw himself around so wrecklessly. Then later he tries to kung-fu the Juice when the game is already over. Stupid decision by Donovan, even dumber by Brewer. But what can you expect from someone who leaves Vol country to go to that hell hole.

He does get injured a lot doesn't he? He's like Mr. Glass.

well i think it was a good move by billy to leave corey in the game cuz when u take out all ur starters turnovers can easily happen and tenn is one of those teams that can score very quickly. hit a couple of 3's and all of a sudden its a single digit game with under a minute 30.

Several observations from the game.

1: Florida has a great team that rebounds extremely well
2: The refs were terrible but didnt cost us the game.
3: Chism stepped up huge today and is a rising star.
4: Duke Crews is afraid to get physical
5: The LF crew was awful. They kept commenting on how great Horford was when he is scoring over Bradshaw.
6: The LF crew were insanely obnoxious with their cliches and stupid comments.
7: The vols offense looks slow and there isnt a lot of moving around and their doesnt look like there is much of any offensive sets called.
