I took my fam to see the gator bowl between VT and the Vols and their fans were absolutely horrid! That was their first bowl EVER (I think) and you would have thought they invented them. I had one little drunk drunk chick going on and on about what a horrible shade of orange we had. When I had finally had enough I said " that's a pretty peculiar thing for a fan to say that combines that EXACT color with Barney sh*# purple/brown and calls themselves the Hoakies". Had one girl point to my daughter who was riding on my shoulders and say "look...a faming brat". Needless to say that the ensueing beat down by Manning and implosion of Drukenmiller was VERY satisfying. Georgia fans are awfully bad though.

Being one of the few orange flowers growing in a Big Blue swamp, I can uninhibitedly cast my vote for Cat fans as the most arrogant. I have heard the same lines ad nauseum from the mouths of UK fans over the years. There is still a large contingent that believes the only imaginable way that final four participant Miss St beat Kentucky in the '96 SECT is that Pitino threw the game. And the attitude has even carried over to football, where I expect the atmosphere to become even worse after winning a bottom tier bowl game for the first time in two and a half decades.

Who doesnt think UF fans have a reason to be arrogant? NC's in bb & fb in 2 yrs can kind of make you arrogant.

Yes it can. Perhaps UT fans can be that arrogant one day.

I agree with everyone about the Buckeye fans. They are by far the most arrogant/elitist fans I've ever been around.

Dawgs fans are a close second. And the funny thing is, they really have no reason to be big-headed.

Gators a distant third.

here are the three that stand out in my mind as arrogant, big headed, cry baby...whatever description you like.but these three fan bases take the cake in my book:

Replace that with Duke basketball fans. Ask a Duke basketball fan who their College Football team is. I hate that. I'm traditional pick a school and run baby. I have no interest in Women's Rowing but I hope Tennessee whips whoevers ass they play.......er Row against.

I am disappointed to hear that Florida fans are acting like that. UT played a fantastic game and deserved to win it convincingly, as they did. Why people feel like acknowledging that means that they are being disloyal to their own team is beyond me.

Plus, I think objective Florida fans are not the ones going around saying that we will play like ourselves at tournament time. I don't think its flipping one switch. Its a lot of things, chemistry, timing, whatever you want to call it. We don't have it right now and need to get it back.

You do have it and need to keep it. I mean, duh.

well the fact is that last year it was NOT a MOTIVATIONAL problem, this year it is....

last year the things they did wrong in the stretch was fixable in practice

this year it will be hard for them to change their mind set going into the tournement....

they lose in the sweet 16, if they get good matchups, then elite 8.

Thanks but don't give me too much credit. I'm a big fan of my team. I'm also 43 years old and, as someone said the other day, its a pendulum that swings back and forth. Guess I just have it more in perspective now that when I was 23 because I know its a matter of time before we are on the bottom looking up.

I don't diagree with this at all. Florida has exactly two weeks to ge their collective head out of their collective you-know-whats. They've got the talent. But right now they don't have the desire and if anyone ought to appreciate the significance of getting hot at the right time, its Florida fans (basketball AND football).

UK fans are the absolute worst. They think the NCAA and the world owe them something becasue they are KENTUCKY. They think because they were a powerhouse a few years back that it can't change. They want Tubby's head on a platter. They say he sucks as a coach but are forgetting that he coached during part of their powerhouse days. It's his fault because he can't coach, recruit, etc. On other message boards they are laying blame on everything they can think off. They need to suck it up. We all lose sometimes.
