I live in gainesville and all hear (from friends and radio hosts) are comments like:

"We didn't try..."
"We'll start playing when the tournement begins"
"dude...tennessee still sucks...they had one good night"
"we killed you in gainesville"

even though there is some truth to this, why cant they just admit they lost and give credit to the team that actually out-played and out-coached them...

because they cant take a loss when they got out played...cant say one good night....cause what about vandy? or UK....of LSU that we beat and they couldnt...strange isnt it? and y would a team not try? especially when they r on the verge of a no.1 seed that they r about to lose if not already....if they didnt try they wouldnt have made that run

Ohio State fans make Gator fans look like girl scouts.

Is that good for us? If so I agree. They were so obnoxious @ the NC game.

"We're gonna win!"
"You guys have no chance against our Big 10 Power (and brains  )"
Stupid Buck fans.

Anyone who thinks Florida fans are the most arrogant in sports has obviously never spent time around fans of the New York Yankees, UCLA basketball, Kentucky basketball, or the Montreal Canadiens.

Or Buckeyes football.

They may have a tough school to get into, but when you actually go there, you will find it hard to believe the collective IQ there is higher than 17.

Buckeyes fans are easily my least favorite. Lewis Grizzard once said that their are no real Yankees fans, only people who pretend to like the Yankees just to piss everyone else off. Kentucky fans have a tremendous arrogance as well.

I must say that if I was a Florida fan, this would be a great time to be arrogant. They do hold the two most important NCs in college sports.

Who doesnt think UF fans have a reason to be arrogant? NC's in bb & fb in 2 yrs can kind of make you arrogant.

I used to live near Jacksonville, and I used to hate being around gator fans. Especially when Spurrier was head coach.

I have a good buddy from Piqua Ohio who goes to Ohio State. He went to UT in 04 and we were roomates randomly. He couldn't afford the tution and went back hame. He was here for Florida 04 and Cal 06. I went up there for OSU-Michigan this year. He admitted that UT fans are better than Buckeye fans and that the SEC was better than the Big 10

The Buckeye fans are ruthless, yet only one out of the whole bunch that I met tried to argue that the Buckeyes could beat a SEC team. No one up there really was that bad, maybe because I wasn't wearing blue and maize.

I agree with everyone about the Buckeye fans. They are by far the most arrogant/elitist fans I've ever been around.

Dawgs fans are a close second. And the funny thing is, they really have no reason to be big-headed.

Gators a distant third.

LSU and Dawg fans are right up there. Georgia is the one that really gets me. Have they won a NC anytime lately?

LSU fans get on my nerves because they can't spell GO

Gators are Gators, Spurrier brought in an attitude and it stuck, even after he left and surburban nose meyer is bringing it back.

Absolutely...Buckeye fans are the worst. They're not only arrogant, they're snobby and tend to hold a grudge forever.

Which is why I say Go Wolverines at least 1 time a year!

I always took pride in thinking that we were the most arrogant. I mean, after all, we're still Alabama!

My brother is a UF grad so I won't say they are all bad.

Living in VA I may have to give a nod to Hokie fans. I mean you would think they actually invented football.

ESPN needs to do a VT commercial saying "Overrated lives here".

Generalizations of this nature are useless. All teams have their own herd of idiotic fans and another herd of more reasonable people.

UT fans would have chimed in with a litany of excuses had we been drilled by a clearly less capable team than ours. We do it all the time, most often by blaming coaches.

I am disappointed to hear that Florida fans are acting like that. UT played a fantastic game and deserved to win it convincingly, as they did. Why people feel like acknowledging that means that they are being disloyal to their own team is beyond me.

Plus, I think objective Florida fans are not the ones going around saying that we will play like ourselves at tournament time. I don't think its flipping one switch. Its a lot of things, chemistry, timing, whatever you want to call it. We don't have it right now and need to get it back.

You do have it and need to keep it. I mean, duh.
