interesting comments from Gary this morning...he's now working for CBS and will be calling the SEC games on CBS this fall....
They did a run down on the SEC, and his comments about TN were fairly positive, at least to the extent that this TN team will be different, in that they will be more disciplined and the offense will be more productive. He was talking about his visits to TN spring practice and said he's not sure how it will translate in to w's and l's and that we probalby still won't win the SEC, but that we wouldn't be the pushover many are expecting coming off of a 5-6 season. The main thing he touched on was that TN should have an opportunity to compete for the SEC if we were able to captialize on a favorable home schedule and some turmoil at some other shcools. He spoke of UF's running game woes, their schedule and that Tim Tebow may very well cause a bit of a qb contraversy in Gainesville, as CUM really likes him and expects him to play this season. Now how much he plays or how much they make him a part of that offense, CUM will have to walk a "fine line" in dealing with that. He also went on to say that the TN/UF game could very well be for the East this season. Didn't really hear his comments on UGA, but i'd have to say the qb situation there has to help TN's cause should JT not be productive and they have to go to a true freshman.
he went on to say that UF may be the best team in the league, but that the schedule they play will not allow them to show it, which is nothing new. he said that UF's schedule was an "NFL schedule" and he doesn't see them coming out of it with any less than 2 losses.
anyway, nothing really new, just someone different giving an opinion on the upcoming season....
