A good friend of Stacey Searles stated he is waiting conformation but looks like it is a go.

In what way? You do realize that there are head coaches alone who are making more than twice what Lane is getting, right?

i thought that's what he was saying, i could be wrong though.

i'm not an athletic director, but paying your HC less and then spending more on the assistants could end up producing better results than just paying a head coach a truck load of money and paying the assistants typical assistant pay.

We just ain't used to this amount of money being spent.
You want the best, the best cost money.

That's what I was implying. I think it's a waste of money to pay 1 guy a ton of money and then distribute the remaining to get so-so coaches.

the staff we are putting together is ridiculous, if we don't win and put ourselves in the bcs picture something is wrong

i agree. although our new coaching staff hasn't proven anything just yet, i would be more excited about the staff we have assembled as opposed to the saban staff bama compiled.

A little more than I had thought, but, if that's our offer, I definitely don't think that UGA will come close to matching that. Hubbs seems to think we want to bring him back to the offensive staff, though. Regardless, Hammy said the money will be there as long as the assistants are worth the amount he's giving. He's obviously a man of his word.

I agree. Just because you have an all-star staff doesn't mean they can go out on the field and perform for you. It still relies on the player and the chemistry between the coaches and the coaches to the players. You can't put a price tag of chemistry guys, just remind yourself that.

you know, it's going to be hard for auburn to do anything as far as assembling a staff that could even compare to the one CLK is putting together.

i'm curious as to whether auburn will hold ut's new staff as the benchmark for how well their own staff is being put together.
