Games are won in the trenches

The good thing about the 2 deep on both sides is that Pruitt wants to operate like UGA did on D this year on both sides, shuttling guys in and out...kinda like when Rick Barnes has a deep bench...everyone plays so everyone gets a chance to compete...which also helps with injuries because they're not playing every snap. We may not win East next year, but we'll be in the mix more than we have in a LONG time. 2020 is when we start hammering away at the east. We'll probably be preseason #3 in east, but the delta between us and UF/UGA is getting MUCH smaller.

I agree with that. I think we’ll be competitive in all our games though, and may win a couple most think we shouldn’t.

This next year the difference between a decent year and a really good year will be QB play. 8-4 to 10-2. Pieces are in place now.

Our offensive line should be quite special.

Oh yeah. But ya know what? I really like how under the radar this D Line was and probably will still be into the ‘20 season, but I really like the motor in these kids up front. I want em’ to shock the world (which is the SEC) next season.

CJP and his staff have done an excellent job in the trenches on both sides of the ball. They know what it takes to win in the SEC.
