1. What have you all found is the cheapest and/or most convenient way to get single game football tickets? I know certain game's tickets are going to be harder to come by and/or much more expensive than others, but in general where do you usually go to find single game tickets? The university, stub hub/seat geek, here on VolNation, or is there a facebook fan site you use?

2. Is it customary to sit in your exact bleacher seat or do you usually just sit in the general area of your seats. I can imagine during big games (with different size people), the bleacher seating gets a little off. But then on less attended games, you may have a little more flexibility on where you can sit.

3. Do most fans stay the whole game? Or do a lot of people leave at halftime? If/when that happens are fans in the "cheap seats" able to come down to better seats or are the ushers pretty strict at looking at tickets the entire game?

4. What is the best food at Neyland Stadium?

5. Is there any pre-game event/tradition that I should check out?

1. Outside gate 21 on the street
2. Every seat is assigned
3. End of third is when people trickle out according to what game it is and what score is. You can move to any seat at anytime, just might get bumped a couple times lol
4. Petros
5. Vol Walk and Band

I would add that circle park is a pretty cool experience on most big SEC game days...

Since I've not been to Neyland in several years I could be wrong and things may have changed.

on # 1 - Things will be different now as tickets are all digital. I'm not sure how easy that is to pay someone you don't know money and depend on them to send you the digital tickets. I would leery of that process but since I've never done it, I could be off base.

2 - always sat in my own seat and never moved elsewhere. I was on row 20 and the 35 yard line. Didn't feel I could improve that very much.

3 - I was always amazed at the number of people that left the games early. Didn't matter who they were playing or how good or bad the game was. I always met a friend at game 21 at halftime to discuss first half. Hundreds of people leaving out. Always floored me. Then at the end of the 3rd quarter, another large group hits the doors. As far as moving around its best to do it at halftime or between quarters. Lot of people in and out then. Of course, its also hard to know if someone coming back or not. Just my thoughts on that.

4 - no opinion But Terrace, Club and Skyboxes all much better than normal concessions.

5 - Vol Walk, Pride of the Southland, Opposing team arriving, The Vol Navy, Biggest tailgate you can find.. :)

My favorite food is the Calhoun’s BBQ nachos. Can only get it on the west side of the stadium

Do yourself a favor and get breakfast at Rankins on Central Ave. I suggest the biscuits and gravy.

The only way to get cheap tickets is to be willing to miss out - what I mean is, you have to have the ability to say no. But I imagine you mean actual Tennessee game tickets. Well, your best bet is to watch the folks around here on the Ticket forum who occasionally have an extra they want to go to a fan rather than scalp for maximum value, (which is admirable and I praise them for helping fellow Vols). That is VERY hit and miss though and not a reliable system. You can use the reseller market; be willing to settle for upper deck pairs, or in other words, be willing to trade sight distance for savings. Prices increase significantly as you move to the lower bowl. Barring all that, loitering with the scalpers on the Strip and Neyland Drive and seeing what you can haggle out of them is the next best way. They will try to talk you into bad seats, as scalpers always do, so no matter what bring a map for that stuff. All the XX, YY, ZZ section labeling can be super confusing.

2. Is it customary to sit in your exact bleacher seat or do you usually just sit in the general area of your seats. You're more or less in your seat. Never seen people sit "near" their seats. Always had my butt firmly on my own digits. If you're stuck next to a Big Orange Hoss, well ... uh ... sorry. Hope they showered.

3. Do most fans stay the whole game? Depends on the opponent and the score, but if Tennessee's having a good season you'll get a lot of folk staying to the end. People are hungry around here and it's been a long time since Tennessee was sniffing a 10 win season. If it's a good year, the fans are going to stay and soak it in. Now, if an OOC game against someone like Georgia Southern, one of those 41-7 Vandy games, or a game with lots of rain, people are gonna head for the exits at the end of the third quarter. Traffic out of Neyland isn't the worst but it is also not the best. If you stay, learn where to park and learn where NOT to park before coming to the game, as knowing that can save you a lot of time when leaving. That's its own essay though so ask when it's time to learn where to park.

4. What is the best food at Neyland Stadium?
Nothing. Nothing is that good. If you get hungry, get a hot dog I guess, that's safe enough, but nothing is that great. It's not awful either, but it is more or less generic concessions food. Some folks will tell you Petros, but I feel like Petros hasn't been good in a long, long time. If you do decide to eat Petros, just realize you are straight up flipping a coin to decide if you'll have indigestion later - possibly before you leave the game. So in closing, don't buy Petros lightly.

Vol Walk, and the Pride of the Southland marching to the stadium - the approximate times for each are shared by the UT Athletic Department and can normally be found in gameday press information released the week of each game. If you've never done the full pregame, the Pride will do a full pregame band routine starting 10 minutes before kickoff. Getting there in time for that is worth it. Folks seem to be dialed in to doing the "checker Neyland" thing once a year, and that is a pretty cool thing to see in person so if you're deciding which game to go to, consider the Checker Neyland game. There's also the Vol Navy if it's a mid-day or late day game, but much like "where to park," the Vol Navy is its own essay. People love to say that whole "just bring a plate and you'll eat all day" thing. That's always felt a little exaggerated but eh, it can be a good time.

#5 Perhaps my favorite of many great, pre-game traditions is when the Pride of the Southland Marching Band plays to "The Hill" prior to marching into Neyland Stadium. You'll hear "Rocky Top," but will also hear "Spirit of the Hill," "Fight Vols Fight," and "Down the Field." Sends chills down my spine just thinking about it. I also think it's great when, during pre-game festivities, our band plays the opponent's fight song in front of their section of fans along the east sideline. I always thought that was sportsmanship at its finest even before kick-off.

Why have they cut the sale of most season tickets. I checked friday on Allvols and there were plenty remaining... now today there are only about two sections with a few seats... Whats the deal ? Surely there were not that many purchased over the weekend ?
