Well not only will TN break the 11 game streak against UF, but it will also overcome some bad College Gameday streaks as well.

The Gators have also had remarkable success against the Vols in GameDay games. Florida and Tennessee have played seven times with GameDay in town, with the Gators posting a 6-1 mark in those games — despite just one of those appearances coming during Florida’s current and ballyhooed 11-game winning streak against the Vols.

Florida also has a perfect 4-0 record against Tennessee in Knoxville when GameDay is in town, winning the last two such meetings — including one in 2012 — by 17 points.

Florida is very familiar with GameDay as they have had more games with the ESPN show present that any other program.

this will be Florida’s 37th appearance in the GameDay limelight, breaking a tie with Alabama to once again give the Gators the most GameDay appearances in the show’s history.

I'm actually shocked Gameday is coming to town. We have looked far from special and Florida hasn't played a team with a pulse yet.

Obviuously ESPN realizes the significance of the game

I guess; there are only like 3 each team ranked games that week as well (I'm kind of surprised to get the nod over Michigan St v Wisconsin, though).

SEC > other Power 5 conferences. Just the way it is. Plus UT - FLA is a "rivalry" game.

Going to be a great atmosphere for this game. Hopefully the crowd is louder than Oklahoma last year. I was there and my ears rang afterwards.

Do we know where they will set up the set? I know last time (2012) they set up in Circle Park, but now TN has the Corporate Tents there. I always thought outside Gate 21 would be a cool spot.
