Gentleman and Ladies....

Haven't been to a game in Knoxville in a few years, but have purchased season tickets this year. Previously we would park behind the BP on the strip with some of my friends, but I don't think they congregate there any more. Even if they did, it's not really the atmosphere I am looking for now. Any suggestions for good public tailgating areas? As close to the stadium as possible, but I don't have to be parked at the gate. Looking for a good pregame atmosphere, don't have kids, but family friendly is our preference.

Mods if this is in the wrong place, move as neccessary.

The 11th Garage (11th & Cumberland) is good, esp on a nice day on the top deck, but getting out after the game is HORRIBLE! KPD only opens 1 (sometimes 2) exits & blocks traffic. I used to park there but got tired of sitting for 1-2 hrs after the game! Ill take my chances finding a place on the street

First Tennessee Bank on the strip on behind Hannah's on the strip. Not too many public tailgating parking lots close to the stadium really. Mostly all reserved.
