1. Good crowd. A lot more people in the seats than I expected.
2. Better defense in spurts. The consistency still isn't there.
3. Tyler Smith is getting more comfortable. I'd still like him to be more aggressive.
4. This team is still way too careless with the ball.
5. Duke Crews is playing the best basketball he's played since arriving in Knoxville. I am very pleasantly surprised.

I really truly think that suspension actually got to him. He's playing with more passion than last year (which seems hard to do), is hitting his FTs better (although not necessarily tonight), and is working harder on his defensive skills.

Good observations on all points. What is wrong with Ramar? Hopefully he's just starting slow again and will start to come on.

I thought Ramar played fine tonight. I just wish he would take better care of the ball. He'll be alright.

He definitely had some good drives and scored a lot tonight, but his assist to turnover ratio is still really low.

While it was inconsistent, overall there did seem to be some sense of realization that the team as a whole had to pick it up on defense to get where they want to go.

I was fortunate to ge the game on ESPN ppv. we seem like a very sloppy team, vey helter skelter. I think that there are aspects that are by design, but we seem out of control quite a bit. Hat, you are spot on about Crews. Childress needs to be acknowledged, has a great motor and plays hard on both ends.

good stuff to hear, Hat. i am especially happy to hear that Crews is stepping up his game. it seems that Tyler Smith is slowly becoming the star of this team.

It's a good sign to see some improvement from this team. Still need Ramar and Wayne to play at their top level.
