She really hasn’t needed to evolve mad.
The system was unorthodox based on principles that were hit or miss.
I think posters like you and I recognize that.
It was simple, make adjustments during the game and everything would work itself out.
Again, simple football terminology is you don’t throw the same route 30-40 times a game. Nor do you blitz every down for four quarters.
Every system under a successful coach has been adapted at some point across all levels.
I don’t get what the usual posters are going off about and rambling on about this evolution change.
It really is more of smoke and mirrors. She is disguising her system better than ever.
Not being predictable.
Coach Caldwell still plays 10-11 players.
She is still making hockey substitutions.
Her adjustment is that in-between those substitutions if a lead is decreasing she’ll go right back to the top players as opposed to waiting it out. Also, she is calling timeouts sooner during lapses.
It’s still uptempo both offensively and defensively. Still full court pressure but without the 6’4 and 6’5 forwards attempting to press guards in the backcourt.

I was highly impressed by Missisippi State's no. 40, Madison Francis. On the SEC broadcast she said she patterned her game after Tennessee's Candice Parker. I can definitely see the similarities between the two of them. If this girl is a serious Candice Parker admirer then she needs to enter the transfer portal next time and play in front of appreciative fans instead of the ones in Mississipi. She would be a great addition to the Lady Vols roster. She deserves to play at great facilities and a great program.

She was offered by Tennessee when in high school. Was the ESPN #33 ranked player.

Interesting. Against Mississippi State, the best freshman on the court for both teams was Mia Pauldo.
Against Arkansas, the best freshman on the court was Jaida Civil.
It’s just different on Rocky Top.

i agree completely! We have zero room on this forum to ever compliment an athlete or coach from another team. Keep up the good work of distracting threads away from such obvious, devious infiltrations into the Holy Sanctum of Women’s College Basketball.

Matter of fact, I’ll go and check every other SEC team message board to see if they constantly plead and overstate wanting our players to enter the transfer portal so they can come there.
Some posters here intentionally go out their way to diminish the impact and successes of our own players, but will glorify a player on a losing team or a team we beat.
Every player doesn’t need to transfer to Tennessee. Support and encourage the ones wearing the jersey right now the right way or atleast stop bickering everytime there’s a poster who does that. You can share your perspective without directing your negative thoughts towards me. It’s really not hard I do it on this forum every single day. Make my post. And leave it at that until I getting heckled by people who words are no more important than mine.

The definition of irony “ see the drivel you post on a daily basis.”

And before the few others come remember all this sensitivity is based on my post where I discussed Tennessee 2x SEC freshman of the week honoree. Go back and see where this poster ever (which is rare) says anything positive about the accomplishments of LV players. 👆

Maybe you don’t understand what you’re talking about which isn’t surprising. I responded to a poster (who quoted me not you) and shared my perspective back on what I saw in the game.
We both shared our “opinions” and moved on.
You had nothing to do with the dialogue.
Now you are back continuing to misconstrue the original statement. And the fact that stands, no other team forum likely has went on as much as a few posters on this forum following beating a team about wanting just about any solid player to enter the portal to come to their team.
Every player doesn’t need to come to Tennessee.
Just like Tennessee freshman was the best player in the court in that game.
It’s okay to not just drive by acknowledge that fact when it comes to our LV players for a brief second before harping on about this or that player from the portal again.
That’s not imagination. Maybe in your mind it is.

If you will read my posts in this thread, I gave a similar assessment of the State player. Complementing an opposing freshman is not a slight against our amazing freshman class. No need to respond with your normal 10,000-character word salad.

Congrats to Mia, she is indeed awesome!

When you give a centered opinion, free of the obligatory bloviating, I’ll throw you an upvote. The incessant defense against imagined slights gets old. We understand there has been a significant uptick in the HS recruiting segment of the Lady Vol program. Portal? That’s still a work in progress. It baffles me as to why you can’t take a chill pill and relax a little bit. Do you ever cook? Bake? Wiggle your toes in the pool? Thank you for a moment of your time this afternoon.

It’s my opinion. The forum doesn’t say when a poster signs up to make sure you receive a upvote from you. Now the way you seem to believe everything revolves around your approval (and when you disagree) there’s a reason to appease you it’s become a point where it comical to even read what you say.
All that extra jibberish is on another level of hypocrisy. You can’t tell a single thing about a person livelihood through message board posts and pretending to do so just because you can’t influence opinions is trivial at best…. borderline ridiculous. If you don’t agree do what I do everytime I ignore your posts until you decide to talk at me about my opinion. Never used profanity. Never attacked anyone basketball ideas/comments. Just posted my opinion. There’s no room to read it’s my opinion.
