And how do substitution patterns that look very similar in most games translate to only happening when she "panics"?

The system did not miss free throws and turn the ball over. I don't necessarily like whatever this system we speak of is but accountability lies with the players as well. You will not convince me otherwise. They are making a decent paycheck and need to do better. Coaches included.

She let it rip on Cooper against Texas. Probably depends on the player. Should have let it rip on the officials in that one.

Yep, I said the same thing and I said she was passing up open looks and her % was good at the time, on low volume. I said in a post month ago she needs to be encouraged to shoot more when she gets an open look. I said in my post the coach should say shoot the open looks until you prove to me or make me say pass those up for now. When you got other players going 1 of 11 in games.

Yep no brainer, it's basically only option, players are paid but not as much responsibility. Some coaches in football tell players to move on at a higher clip knowing a higher volume of portals demand it to re-group but basketball is a little different a small group and most all your portals are seniors on their 2nd & 3rd school so their gone by default. So the players have less to lose in the long run in regard to family.

Disagree. "Heart" as we are using it here is the choice to continue to expend effort after adversity and the belief that, individually and collectively, you can continue to improve. Those habits of mind can be developed. This is well developed research in cognitive psychology and a part of what sports psychologists do.

It’s possible because Mya only played 15 mins to Cotie’s 39. And I don’t even think Mya was matched up with Cotie much. So for him to say that is pretty comical. Literally no comparison 😂

OMG. Does this character really mean to imply that Mya stopped Cote? Nothing that wasn't nuclear powered was going to stop Cote .

Just what we needed for this to climb from under the rock, and we knew it's been under there, now of all times. Please let FJJ's Mom have the parental throne of shame a while longer.

I was not familiar with his first emoji but it is "steam from the nose" to signal frustration, anger, displeasure so I guess he is complaining that Mya did not play more minutes since Cote did not score on her. Like many others, I ain't going back to the game but I don't think Mya had many one-on-one matchups against Cote.

But in that spirit, I also will note that, Wilt Chamberlain, in his legendary 100 point game, did not score a single point on Mya either.

They can't coach effort either. No one can make a kid give effort, they either have the want to or not. Saban and Geno always have tge best if the best on their team. You I ut forth effort or you get past by the other 5*. FYI, both a known cheaters. Pat knew about your beloved Geno, and refused to play the cheater. Saban quit as soon as NIL came because he couldn't get all the 5*. Try harder , thise two are terrible examples of anything other than winners that cheated to do it.

Heart is not habit, you are born with it. All you Kim haters are grasping at straws saying she can coach effort and heart. She did pick 3 of the Effortless 4, that's on her. She needs to get talented players that care from the portal this year. Her HS recruits show effort and heart , so does Latham . You figure out the Effortless 4 is.

If you've ever played, you know some coaches are much easier to give 100% for. Some coaches you respect, and they literally change your life. Other coaches are idiots and it takes everything within you (pride in yourself and teammates) to continue giving 100% - most aren't capable of giving 100% for this type of coach. So, in summary, good coaches get more effort out of their players than bad coaches do. Maybe they aren't specifically "coaching effort" but they sure as heck get it more than others.

True competitors are self motivated. No coach should ever have to tell you to play hard, that's a given. A coach can bench you to motivate you to play hard, but Kim doesn't feel she has that luxury this year. Me, I'd sacrifice losing games to build my culture for the rest of the teams and recruits could see it. I'm not saying Kim is the answer, but the effortless 4 are killing this team.

Yeah HER eyes only. Individually. Her team got beat by us to end her season. Sooooo her scoring 39 is what…… they beat us in a regular season game. Yay!!! Congrats to her. We still have more basketball left to play. I think she would have gladly taken that win last season then the one that just happened
