How do you know before a game is played? I was skeptical of Mia's height but she has proven me wrong. Nya is definitely underperformed. So the only solution I can figure is you take less Freshmmen and more transfers? Is that a solution, how can you know?Everyone disagreed with me in the offseason, when I said this was a flawed roster, yes some seem to agree now but that’s after the results.
Agreed. I like the current mix of HS recruits and transfers. It is just the some the LVs transfers have underperformed. GBO.How do you know before a game is played? I didn’t need to see a game, I just looked at the players and compared to the top teams roster, I didn’t think we had enough for a Championship run.How do you know before a game is played? You already said you didn't trust how freshmen were ranked so how do you rate them if they are all equal. How could anyone know how they would play .much less play together. My opinion is it's just a guess. You can evaluate and watch all you want but you never know until the team hits the floor.I didn’t need to see a game, I just looked at the players and compared to the top teams roster, I didn’t think we had enough for a Championship run.
I watch a lot of their games, this forum is for opinions, so that’s what I did, just like the ones that said we would be Championship contenders with the roster. I had Texas and UConn as the best teams before the season started. Yes I like Juju, and shelll be the standard next year with her roster. You already said you didn't trust how freshmen were ranked so how do you rate them if they are all equal. What do you mean championship roster, are you comparing it to Uconn or another team? If I remember right you really liked Gtrohans with Juju
Madtownvol, your comments about CKC's ego-invested "system" is right on. The back-to-back losses to MState and UConn should tell her that her system works only sporadically in D1 play. She needs to change her "system" and become committed to defense and rebounding.Ouch!! Getting tag teamed by you and Retrovol!! WHAM!BAM!BODYSLAM!
No Más !!!!
I should have chosen my words better-- The more appopriate statement is that CKC is "ego-invested" in her system.
Wait! y'all say, How dare I even think that !!!! That is still character assassination!!!
Let's chill a bit. From Day 1, CKC has been on a mission to prove that her system will work at this level. Just ask John Adams (if he ever recovers from CKC's death stare).
When things have gone bad and the pundits and fans question the mass subbing etc., she has doubled down on the system.
Her commitment to the system is really apparent.
You can compare to Dawn, Geno, Vic, Kym Mulkey and other recognized "elite" coaches where no one talks about their "system'. It is about their general skill as coaches and they find ways to get the most out of their players and so on.
I am confident that CKC will get to this rarefied level over time but right now "the system," for better or worse, is integral to her coaching identity. Oh, hear that? Those are the siren's from Retrovol's thought police unit. I don't have much time before I am taken away for "correct thought" programming.
But, my saying that CKC is ego-invested in her system does not mean I am implying that she is a "****** person." That is a big freakin' leap.
