THE KELLIE HARPER ERA BEGINS

  • Former Lady Vol Kellie Harper takes the reins at Tennessee after leading Missouri State to a Sweet 16 appearance in last season's NCAA Tournament.

BROWN GETS SIXTH YEAR FROM NCAA

  • Tennessee has a seventh player who was on the roster last season but didn't play due to injury.
  • Graduate transfer Lou Brown, who came from Washington State and hails from Melbourne, Australia, has been granted a sixth season of eligibility due to an injury suffered prior to the 2018-19 season.

Hmmmm. If this were the first regular-season game instead of an exhibition, this would be somewhat easier. But since it’s an exhibition, who knows? Maybe Kellie, who has said several times that she’s not concerned who starts, goes with a starting lineup that mixes things up quite a bit. Maybe she DOES start some freshmen. Maybe she puts a lineup on the court that looks nothing like we think it will! :p

Nahhhhh.

I’ll go with Rennia, Zaay, Jazmine, Kasi and...... DRUMROLL .... Jordan.

How would that work, you ask? Hell, I don’t know. But that lineup would be four-fifths lightning! :D

Interesting you think Key beats out KK.

Could go either way, but with a coach of the future, I go with player of the future

In less than 12 hours the Harper Era in Lady Vol history begins, and I’m chomping at the bit to get on the road to Knoxville and TBA. Because I would be absolutely heartbroken to miss any part of the introductions or the game because of some unexpected traffic delay, I am leaving at noon to make the 90-minute drive from Chattanooga. LOL! I’m not taking any chances — this night is just too special!
