The women's game has evolved a lot in the last 10 years. The days of women's basketball coaches staying at a top D1 school for 30 years and not going far in the tournament should be over, as well as it should be. They should be treated like the coaches in the big men's D1 programs, win or move on. Far too many women's D1 teams mirror the AA conference including coaches who have been at the helm way too long. There is far too much concern over meeting Title IX than pulling a winning product on the court.
That being said, as long as Holly wins and does well in the tournament she will be untouchable. We might not like how she gets there, but all that will matter to the university is that she gets there. It does not matter that I do not like her interview or coaching skills. Now once the program truly heads south and we start losing good recruits one would hope that the university sends Holly packing, sooner than later.
