The way our girls play. Who knows what happens. We could win by 20 or lose by 15.

I hear you. This is really a frustrating team to watch.

I looked up some information on LSU and did not realize that Tasha Butts and Mickey DeMoss are assistant coaches.

Looks like Chloe Jackson - guard can light it up

Every game is different the main concern going in is who will we turn into an All American in this game. We get lit up by a player that had went 4 for 16 in the three previous games. In the first Vandy game we get scorched by a player that wasn't one of the main scorers. I wish we could catch a break and finally have a game where all the opponents players have regular or below average games. We certainly have players that are doing this why can't we catch a break.
Anyway will be play defense? The only players I see that can play decent defense are Nared, Westbrook, and sometimes Jackson. Jackson has become a liability because she has shot 0 for 17 in the last three game and had at least 15 turnovers. Holly deciding to go with Annie who's had huge defensive problems turned out to be one of two great decisions she made last night. The other was going to the zone.
LSU a game we should win but we create so many opportunities for us to lose it is a definitely a wait and see what we got and will be that way from now until the rest of the season.

I hope Holly starts out in the zone against LSU. This could be a very interesting game. The Lady Vols will have another different challenge. As always Go Lady Vol's

I think this has been said here previously but I think that Westbrook has the potential to be the program's best perimeter defender since Hornbuckle. Can she rub some of that off on her teammates please?

No way that Jackson was 0 for 17 in the last three games because she was 8-9 against ND, and she was playing pretty well against Miss. St. until she hit her head. But I agree that she's been pretty emblematic of the team's overall inconsistency from game to game and quarter to quarter. She's had as many "Wow, Meme has really improved!" plays as she's had "Why is a junior making these kinds of mistakes?" plays.

Lost a lot of faith over the past 5 games, team needs to not just win but show consistency and an elite talent. Season is beginning to wind down.

Yep, that’s been a recurring theme. Several players have reached their careers highs in recent years against a team once know for its defense and rebounding.

Hope we can pull out the win. And if no LSU player hits a career high in scoring, it will be a good night.

With this team, it's hard to know who's going to show up and who's going to be a non-factor for any given game. The way the LVs play, any game could be a win or a loss. LSU OTR won't be as easy as it looked a month ago. Maybe this'll be the game Nared and Westbrook get the hot hand again.

Yes I was wrong on that should have been in the last two games she is 1 for 16. I can't remember the shot she made in the Miss St game but the boxscore gives her credit for one so she was 1 for 10 in that game. She was 0 for 6 versus Ole Miss. Her defense has been better than Hayes and that is the reason she has kept Hayes off the court as much as she has.
The LSU game we need tough defense out of Meme and no bad shots or passes. I like her on the floor is she is committed to defense and smart play.

LSU has a Coach who knows her x's and o's,having been a Lady Vol and playing with Holly as an Assistant coach, and Coaching against Holly so she will absolutely out coach our coach.I predict that she will start out in a zone to take Mercedes out of the game by sagging in a 2/3 zone.So our outside shooters will have to shoot LSU out of that zone. The only other option to generate offense is to have a lock down defense ,rebound and get out on the break and beat them down the court .....that is the best offense that they have had all year. But I do not expect that LSU will allow themselves to be nbeaten back very often so a half court offense will be required against a zone defense.

I expect a close game just like I predicted against Ole Miss with their two big posts and one good guard who was a scorer.LSU will play Holly a competitive game because she is very familiar with what the Lady Vols will do or not do and she has the edge in coaching.I just hope that the LV's can get off to a fast start offensively ,get out in front early and play some defense for a change.....would recommend that Holly start in a zone since the LV's can not keep anyone in front of them from driving to the rim.

Am hoping for a win.

You might remember the game at LSU two years ago where Carter fouled LSU with like 0.5 seconds left to give them free throws and the win...

To make matters worse, it was an intentional foul with Tennessee up by 1. Carter was determined to make sure that Tennessee didn't come away with that win. But it was Diamond's fault...

It wasn't intentional, just a really dumb time and place to attempt to steal the ball, IIRC?

LSU was at the line for FTs down 2. Made one, got the board on the second outside the paint. Then Carter rushed over to immediately foul her the way you would in the situation if you were down by one, not up by one. I think she realized at some point her mistake and tried to back off, but the whistle already blew. A complete brain freeze by a senior that summed up the season well.

LSU has a trio of very quick guards who.can attack the zone. This game will come down to containing LSU's backcourt.

After the Ole Miss win, Nared said the team needs to work on man defense and communicating on ball screens. Maybe they’ll do better in this game. I’ll also look for Hayes and the other guards to take open 3s with confidence.

Okay first qrtr.. 18-13 end of 1st qrtr ladyvols lead

I just wish the ladyvols would get tougher on the offensive and defensive boards!! We’re losing the battle 8-11

The zone has been pretty solid, but not rebounding well out of it. LSU already has 7 offensive boards.

Moving well on offense so far and pretty crisp passing. Only one turnover so far. 7 assists on 8 field goals is superb.

The zone is definitely our best defense even though it hurts our rebounding. We just need to play four quarters like that one.
