Game Thread Lady Vols at LSU

imho, those 3 refs should be canned, hung, shot, burned, thrown to the lions and then & only then offered Obamacare ins.

Too strong?

it was a really bad call Decker, but as i have said before, the Refs are making really bad calls against both teams, not just this one game either,it has been a year long thing,I've seen calls that just flat out suck against the Lady Vols or whoever they were playing against didn't get the right call either

the SEC needs to get some consistent play calling by the refs from game to game and from one reffing crew to the next,it is a shame that the refs are controlling games, that should be on the players

I thought I heard Matt Stewart, the TV announcer for CSS, say that both Burdick & Simmons were co-POG tonight. Between the two players they scored 53 points of the 72 for the game.

That is not good when you have 70% of the offensive production coming from 30% of the minutes. That is not a well-balanced offense and won't go far in the tournament. I did not watch the game but this team is playing its best this season when the ball goes through the point guards and Simmons lets the game come to her. But, a win is a win. Just not sure if you can build on it.

Avenging a loss on the road against an SEC foe who has been ranked multiple weeks in the top 25? Yeah, I think we can build on that.

no problem with getting the ball to those who CAN score, ie Simmons, Harrison, and finally thank GOD, Burdick.

let those other girls play d.

Too many turnovers, but the officiating was horrible. We were playing 5 on 8 the whole 2nd half. The charge on Izzy should get that ref fired

The refs will always be a scapegoat for a team's bad play, so there's no need to improve the officiating. People will complain just as much. These charges of playing 5 on 8 are just ridiculous. Good teams don't blame others for their shortcomings.

Apparently, you must not have seen the same game with that attitude. You must not be a fan of LVs basketball to side with the refs bad calling. The refs are not being scapgoated here. The SEC should improve their officials after watching that game last night. The refs were really terrible in the calling of last night's game especially during the second half of play. You just like to look down from your high perch & post idiotic crap about the LVs & their fans whenever you see that it's possible. Plus you think your opinion is only the right opinion which you are delusional.

I'm not talking about just last nights game,i've seen a lot of bad calls on both sides of the court this year and why the TV announcers aren't calling them out more on it,I have no idea, unless it is don't bite the hand that feeds you :)

You didn't watch the game.
I haven't seen anyone blame the refs for our bad play. The refs are being blamed for bad officiating. Watch the replay.

excellent point Volly

we are upset with the bad calls, which after the first flurry of excellent UT play, directly led to stagnating Tn's play. it was blatant & one sided!

I was just being facetious. Refs do need to do better, but to read the posts here, you'd think they are only calling fouls against the LVs. I think they make an equal number of mistakes against every team equally. And, if you look at fouls called in slo mo, I think you'll find they get a lot more right than you first thought. Yes the defensive player was in the restricted area arc and was moving when Izzy was called in error. So what? That was one play, not the end of the world.

When I read a game thread and see 50 posts complaining about how the refs were against the LVs and no complaints about how the other teams fouls are called, it's hard to sympathize.

Yes, I give my opinion. From what you said in your second sentence it appears you feel to be a fan requires always siding with the LVs. Sorry if I don't meet your requirement. I just accept that the refs are going to make mistakes and I don't think they do it intentionally. But to constantly complain about it serves no purpose. It's not going to change anything. I'm sure if the fans were willing to chip in with an extra fee to pay for more qualified refs that would help, but women's basketball isn't making money as is so there's little chance of that happening.

hey Einstein, there were no lsu fans on our forum to complain about the refs, so git your panties out of your crack!
