Yes she's getting there. I noticed today especially she had her feet on the floor instead of hopping can't move your feet to play defense if you're hopping. And she's probably the best on the backend of the press she sure breaks on the ball and has the hopps for the steals . Think she will be one of the top 6 by tournament time.

All in all, a good game that gave the Freshmen and Jersey a chance to continue to develop. The person who impressed me the most with Civil. She is fantastic on defense, and by far is the best on the team about being able to press and then quickly get back to good half-court defense. Not only did she get 4 steals, but her intense pressure caused many other turnovers such as walks and bad passes. She got under their skin and into their heads.

Another shout out to MIa. It is amazing that a freshman who is having a somewhat off shooting night leads the team with +/- = +31 for her 30 minutes. The team only outscored Arky by 4 points the 10 minutes she didn't play. Kudos to Jersey with her 4 blocks and 4 rebounds. Good to see some progress there.

As far as the whole team, some regression with too many threes, poor foul shooting, and their typical quarter of stagnant offense (from midway of second to midway of third approximately). On the positive side, only 8 turnovers, an effective press, and a good half-court defense that got even better the 2nd half despite such a big lead.

Made it the S16 last season and beat the National Champion during the regular season. IMO we have one of the top rosters in WBB which is why the team started the season ranked in the Top 10 and trending back towards the Top 15 (will likely move into the 16-19 range in this weeks AP poll) with a Top 10 finish very possible. There’s nothing missing from this team personnel wise.

I think we need better shooters and more post dominance until we compete for championships but this is the type of game that shows the style can win.

I said before, if she comes back to us next season, I hope Prawl works on her speed and ability to finish at the rim in the off season. I would hate to lose a 6'2 wing with a lot of potential like her.

Why do you all talk so much about players going to the portal? Why would Prawl not return to Tennessee after playing as much as most freshmen on a winning team?

Prawl tries to take the ball to the goal and tries to shoot while taking the ball away from the defender so she can get her shot off …. She will learn to take the ball toward the defender to draw more fouls . Just my opinion!

I don’t know, but you previously posted ad nauseam about a system you said point blank was broke and why you said you were not going to watch anymore games this year….but we all know how that went…

Kim still sounds subdued to me but I do love that she’s never pleased. A true task master. There will be no pats on the back.

Going to dispute this big time.

We are a good team. We are not elite.

We don’t have a true dominant post. Some stretch 4s like Barker or Spearman but no one who can just go get a basket by backing someone down.

Similarly we don’t have an elite 3 pt shooter.

When Edwards gets here next year we might compete.

Rn I’d say ceiling is sweet 16~

Also important to say we lost Whitehorn who in the absence of a true post or 3 pt shooter, gave us another slasher to compliment Cooper

BVS. If something can go wrong, it will.

We need to have a little faith that Kim and the staff can hold this class together.
