Is he really loud? I want one, but afraid he will be too loud for my neighborhood.

His bark/howl is very loud so I don't leave him out at night or he would howl all night. It is an awsome sound when he lets lose though. He stays in with me during the day but I let him run in the back yard for exercise and play. He loves going to my dughters soccer games at Bearden and everybody knows he is there. Best dog I have ever owned.

Yeah, I used to own a few coon dogs. I hunted every week, went to competitions.. But also lived in the country. I had walkers and black and tans...
Now I live in the city and kinda afraid to get a blue tick.. My gf wants a lab and I want a blue tick or Doberman...

I don't like dobermans at all. I will admit that I don't really know the breed that well though. Do they make good pets(not guard dogs)?

I wouldn't trade G for any of the labs, retrievers, I have had. He really doesn't bark a lot just when I play with him mostly or when he needs to go out. But like a lab you have to play with him so he doesn't get bored or something will get chewed up. He is a great dog currently sleep at the foot of the bed.

I have had 3 expierences being around dobermans none were good. Last spring a friend of hours who has one, had it bite a kid on the arm. Now it was the kids fault for startling it but still wouldn't want one. JMO.

That's similar to my experience with them. They just seem a bit too aggressive for my taste.

btw. That's a nice looking dog you got there.

I had a female, and she was my fav pet ever.. Super gentle..

That's not bad at all. I looked for one a few years ago down here and could only find a few going for $500 and up.

I've only had one, so I can't speak fr the whole breed, but she was great.. Same as pits and other breeds.. It depends on how u raise em..

They hunter/breeder wanted $400 but I talked him down to $300. Actualy I paid more than I wanted but after seeing him no way I wasn't taking him home.

He's not even fully grown but he'll steal UGA's bone.

He'll never back down from a fight and the ladies will love him all night.

He's a fan of Tennessee and if you don't like that then on your shoe he might pee.

If you're wearing a Orange power T then he'll sit nicely at your knee.

If you wake up and hear him howl, it's ok y'all, it's just the General again on the prowl.

Great looking dog you have there my friend.
