Who were yalls MVPs vs South Carolina?
For me, I had:

Offensive: Eric Gray - NEEDS more touches. Made big plays when he got the ball.
Defensive: Alontae Taylor - High effort & impact plays in critical moments all game. Go back & watch him on Henry’s pick six if you haven’t already
Special Teams: Paxton Brooks - besides the botched snap mishap (which I don’t give him blame for), his punting seemed much improved from last year. He consistently flipped the field.
Freshman: Tyler Baron - Just seems to have a nose for the football. Will be fun to watch him this year

Offense MVP- Chandler, he ran hard when he got true touches. Also led the team in rushing yards. Both RBs need more touches.
Defense MVPs-Johnson and Taylor. Taylor was very solid but I think will get into trouble talking after plays. Johnson has two sack and was a lot better after the first series. He has to work on his edge contain though

I had Brandon Johnson on offense because of two reasons. First, catching that one-handed 3rd down conversion came at a very crucial time in the game. If he does not make that catch, we are quite possibly looking at a different outcome. Secondly, he got open, made all the catches, and blocked well.

Deandre Johnson put the heat on South Carolina all night. Disruption would be an understatement for what he accomplished defensively.

I would also give Kudos to Brandon Johnson’s ”Sports Center recognized” catch, the O Line and Chandler (6.6 yds / touch)

Chandler looked much stronger. I did see the missed block. Freshman mistake.
Preston Fant showed up.
Kivon Bennett really boosted his presence.
Run defense was good. Tackling looked good.

The game ball! If not for the awkward bounce and hitting the S.C. player on the back of the leg we are 0-1 🤷‍♂️

I'm going with... NOT JG. No real standout on offense.

MVP- Henry T. That pick six was the winning difference in the game.

You saw the momentum they were going to score it was a fortunate bounce.
Lol, give us the final play calls and descriptions of how they were simply going to score from the 20 with under 2 minutes and 0 time outs. They were probably 95% to lose in that situation yet you simply claim they were going to score because of momentum. Unbelievable thought in my mind.
