Seems like portal outgoing transfers related to Coach Gaines leaving. I also read that administration was going to open their pocket books to attract portal players that would get UT to a final four. I just wonder if the end of year evaluations revealed to players they might want to enter the portal.
If I were Barnes I’d probably wonder if it’s worth the headache of rebuilding a new starting 5 every year. I’m glad he still enjoys coaching and he’s a great coach.
I wonder who he will get as a new assistant, hopefully someone that has ties to some good talent.
