Unfortunately to those with poor mental health it may seem like good judgement. I wish this young man could have gotten the help he so desperately needed.
Initially sounded like some freak accident, but unfortunately seems now to be suicide where judgement did not matter. This country has a huge, and growing, mental illness problem that is the root of many high visibility and crisis-level problems. Mental health has to be addressed, even if unpopular, if we are to curtail many drug, gun, and other crime issues. The rapid increase of the seriousness of these issues can be directly seen as a result of the changes in mental health treatment (closing sad but necessary facilities).

I knew a man that ran a company in California. He was a really good person and family man. He sold someone a product that had a defect that he wasn’t aware of and an elderly woman fell to her death because of the defect (wasn’t his fault and it worked for years before it went bad). He couldn’t get over her dying and thr guilt ate him up. He jumped in front of a train and killed himself 3 weeks ago. He’s the last person I ever would have thought would kill himself. He left behind his wife and 3 kids that I know he loved tremendously. Depression can hit anyone and can be devesrating.
