Not sure the heavy lean part is accurate. That is, he was thought to be a UGA UF battle and now UGA is out, but IMO (worth nothing of course) that doesn’t mean he’s a “UF lean.”
In fact he’s now expected in Knoxville this weekend…
In all seriousness, I’d rather get a guy from the portal than high school. We’re losing Castles and Warren and will be left with Ethan and then whoever we get this class

I think it’s the opposite. Landing 2 HS TEs would be even better, but Freshmen rarely contribute at a high level in the SEC. Landing a couple in the portal to pair with Davis and Okoye while Echols develops as a blocker would work just fine

South Georgia tight end Amir Jackson comes to town this weekend as Tennessee tries to enter a race where Florida is the team with the most momentum. Jackson has been thought to be a UGA and Gator battle and most assume with the Dawgs taking two tight ends in the last 10 days that he is destined for Gainesville. He is giving Tennessee a shot to impress him this weekend.
Between this guy and Michael Smith being teammates with Merklinger plus Echols already committed I think we’ll do just fine at the TE spot in this class
