Obviously it depends on the site, but the last one I looked at had them with the number 1 DT/ Number 1 edge and the number 1 linebacker. The kid they beat Rutgers for was the number 1 player in the state of NJ which isn’t a talent wasteland. I don’t think much has changed.
They ranked #3 on 247
Ranked #4 on On3

I agree. Absolutely nothing has changed for them.

Tennessee however is getting batter every year in recruiting.

Incorrect. The #1 player in NJ is a different guy, Ikinnabagon.

I’m talking about Gilbert, Dinkins, Morgan, Roldan, Kruah, Jamal-Haane and Shivers from their commitment list.

They’re currently trying to flip a TROY Juco OL commitment; Chase Linton, a former Rutgers commitment; and Donovan Starr, and Auburn commitment who like both Morgan and Shivers above are Tennesseans that the Vols had no interest in.

Well Ikinnabagom is committed to UGA and absolutely had a Rutgers offer amongst numerous others so I guess we have different ideas about what is and isn’t correct. They still have the No 3 class with Justus Terry still undecided. They got in late and took a QB out of the top 10 because they had Raiola committed followed by Curtis in 2026. If they had 5 star talent at QB and receiver in this class they would be number 1 and still may be…..sooooo.

We were talking secondary players for UGA not their class as a whole but I guess thanks for letting us know how great Georgia is 👍🏻

I apologize if I offended you by repeating factual data that I stole from a recruiting site. I’m from Georgia and have a close friend on staff at a large north Fulton HS. I didn’t write an opinion piece. I basically did what a parrot could do.

No you went off on a tangent because we were commenting on the fact they are not getting who they want in DB’s/safeties like in years past in this years recruiting cycle….how we went from that discussion to what you are saying is on you lol

So we're only reduced to talking about players in the secondary??? "Their class is low-key half-filled with players for whom they've beaten the likes of Rutgers, GT, and UNC for along with two TN players who UT didn't push for." The quoted part is what you responded to. If we're only talking about the secondary then I CANT WAIT to see Stephon Shivers in action on the back end. I think at 6"4 /360 he may be a little stiff to play corner. Tell me, do you see him as a Star or Safety type?

This is a recruit thread about a safety that Georgia missed on..the players he is referring to are corners and safeties that Georgia essentially settled for because they didn’t get their first pick.

The comment you are referring to is literally quoting a commit that switched from GT. You took it as a slight to Georgia’s whole class, when in context nothing from his post indicates that…I can’t help you with context clues but if you want to use this thread to pump up Georgia’s class nobody is stopping you

You’re right I misstated. They’ve got two commitments from TN players we didn’t push for, and are pursuing a 3rd (Starr). Two of those are DBs.

Factual point remains factual. The top of end of their (your?) class is very good, while the bottom half is filled with prospects for whom they’re beating or competing against schools we’d all be rightfully complaining about.

Dude I didn't take anything as a slight. And I'm not pumping or not pumping up their class. I even prefaced the comment by saying "it depends on the site but the last one I looked at" Im not trying to claim that I've invented the wheel here. Im just regurgitating information. But your cohorts comment was not strictly related to the secondary and that was the one I responded to.

Here you go again.

NIL has changed the recruiting landscape, they can’t allocate a bunch of money for secondary players they want when other positions might be of greater need in a certain year. It’s all about a collectives budget for certain positions and after that it’s how well you recruit the players and how much they like your school
Some families don’t like the culture at UGA either.

Shaedy Hayward tells me this afternoon that he does not plan to be in Athens this weekend for the game. Now, with that said, Georgia is still not going to go away easy. They want him in this class and will recruit him until the end based on what I am told this afternoon. Not a shock there, but Tennessee continues doing a nice job in this one. This will be a battle to the finish line rest assured of that, but if he does not end up in Athens this week, that is another plus for Tennessee.

hopefully we aren't having to go full blown Clemson Cult on him, banning him from visits. I much prefer the "hold on loosely, but don't let go" mantra. let the guys have some fun so they don't feel constrained and forced.

Georgia desperately begging for him to show up has nothing to do with us banning recruits from visits. I believe we would have heads about this if that was the case.

He's already visited Georgia this fall (Oct 5th). We aren't stopping anyone from visiting like Dabo does.
