Coach Ellarbee played high school football for Central. Might be some ties there, but there's been a lot of turnover with the staff at Central in the last few years. Walton is really good and would be a perfect fit for our offense.

Jonaz Walton and Tyriq Green are a couple of other backs Tennessee has done a nice job with to this point in 2026. The staff likes Green's versatility and he could play in the secondary at the next level as well.

I'm really surprised that we haven't heard more about this kid!! He is an absolute stud and with Savion Hiters new found interest in Michigan I would think that Jonaz Walton would be one that we really go after! Kid is 5'9" and 205lbs. Plays football and is also a track and field star. Runs 100m in 10.63 and is also a very talented shot putter. Squats 565lbs and power cleans well over 300lbs. He is a 2 time All American at Central and per On3 he is a top 40 overall recruit and is currently a 4star but rated as the #2 rb in the country. Definitely see his ranking moving closer towards the top 10 by the end of his senior year and will be an eventual 5star. Kid is super talented. Has a quick first step and can get up field in a hurry. Very tough to bring down and has the speed to blow by defenders. Has-been clocked at 22.6mph!! That is getting it. Reminds me a lot of Dylan Sampson due to his running style and toughness and the ability to run through and break tackles. Shorter guy but has a college ready frame and build. Could definitely be an impact player should we push for this guy. He is from Georgia and has UGA, Bama, Auburn, and Tennessee as his top 4 schools. Supposed to be visiting for the 3rd time in the coming weeks. Has took visits to UGA 4x. Bama 4x. Auburn 2x. And this next visit to Tennessee will be his 3rd. I think he likes TN a lot and I'd think we feel the same way about him. Gotta beat out his home state though.
