"Derrick Baker with an absolute DOT @derrickbakerQb1," Sisk stated in an X post online. Wilikins was quick to share his take on the throw as well by stating, "I’m telling y'all Milton QB Derrick Baker is fr. What a dot."

Just 1 throw, but that was super impressive.

It was his best throw of the game for sure.

He had it pretty rough after that. Threw a pick-6 and then another that almost got housed. Credit to him for making the saving tackle, but he seemed to injure his wrist on his throwing hand making it. I don't think he attempted another pass the entire game, and in fact, Milton had to sub in a freshman to play QB when they were in obvious passing situations.

Milton seemed to have trouble keeping the pocket clean for him which led to some rushed throws. Both picks were rushed due to pressure.

Side note: the game was the first played at Buford's new $62 million stadium. Talk about impressive. Seats 10000, 1500 premium seats, 15 luxury suites, and a 3600 sq ft video board.

Who in the hell is using private suites for a high school game? That is just insane.

Good breakdown. Watched the game from my flight. I will say this, Baker is one tough kid.

I'm guessing the same ones who funneled $62 million into building it, which is also insane. It is beautiful, but man...it seems overly extravagant for high school football.
For context, Buford City Schools has 1 HS, 1 middle school and 3 elementary schools. That district will be the only district using that field. They have 7 total fields. They have a sports complex. The amount of money is insane, especially with teachers begging for supplies.

The amount of recruiting they do matches this too

Buford is a great place to live I've heard. That stadium is Texas HS football crazy.

Another school to watch for in about 10 years regards to facilities is Rabun Gap Nacohoooee (sp) GA

BEAUTIFUL field but limited seating capacity at the moment. It's like transporting back into the Smokey Mountains 500 years ago.

They play a tough schedule like Baylor, McCallie.
I was trying to help set up a game between them and Phoebus HS in VA but they couldn't agree to all the many stipulations.

Are they trying to catch up to Texas high school stadiums? They're all over Texas where football is a way of life. Friday night lights

This dude could easily be a four star by signing day. Just hasn’t played much due to injury. Great traits for this offense.
What, missing most of the season with injury? Kidding, but fr though im not high on the thought of signing someone based on camps and athletic potential alone

It was a wrist, I think. Hopefully not a lingering issue. He’s def in the mold of a Hendon/Dobbs.

His 7v7 coach is Cam Newton. He really likes FSU.

I‘ve always thought this guy would blow up when he got healthy and become too high profile for us after just taking Faizon.

That’s why I liked Andre Adams, but with the Oregon offer I think he’s about to blow up too.

Whoever mentioned Roskopf^, good call. Let’s see if he gets back on campus.

Baker was injured in their game against Buford. You are correct, it was a wrist injury. Tried to play thru it but was ineffective afterward and Buford was just better, though the game was close.
