Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake four-star 2025 offensive tackle Juan Gaston visited Tennessee on Saturday for the first time since October when he was in Knoxville to watch the Vols defeat Alabama. Following his most recent visit, he discussed the trip with Volquest.

“It was exciting,” Gaston said of the visit. “Getting to play mini-golf against the head coach, do a facilities tour and take a photo shoot was all good.”

Gaston enjoyed being around Heupel during the day and watching the way he competed in various activities with recruits. “He is a very fun guy to be around. He is a really good head coach,” Gaston said of Heupel.

“He is a great coach,” Gaston said on Elarbee. “He knows exactly what he is doing and how to develop guys. He helps prepare his guys for the game.”

The message from Tennessee to Gaston about what they like about his game has been clear. They covet his athleticism, footwork, and hand placement. At 6-7, 330 pounds, he also stars on the basketball court.

While Tennessee is high on Gaston, he likes what he has seen from their offense. He has been impressed with the balance between the run and pass game. Gaston says he has “most definitely felt like a priority” felt like a priority for Tennessee.

Gaston also notes the Vols are definitely in his top group of schools because of “the bond I have with the coaches here.”

The standout prospect does not have any kind of timeline for a commitment decision, but he does know what is important to him in the process. “The relationship I have with the coaches and the players are the main things that are important to me,” he said of this.

Atlanta-area offense tackle Juan Gaston does not say much at all, but the feel coming out of his visit this weekend is Tennessee has continued to make an impression with him and his family, as he has been to Knoxville as much as any other place. He is a massive tackle prospect Tennessee covets in the cycle. This will be one of those heavyweight battles down the stretch as Alabama, Florida, Florida State and Georgia are all working to be heavily in this one.

Several coaches will return to campus on Friday for official visits, while others will continue to work their way around the road. Of note, Glenn Elarbee is expected to check on 2025 offensive tackle Juan Gaston, Brian Jean-Mary is expected to check on 2025 LB Kelan Butler and Jerry Mack is expected to check on 2025 RB Ousmane Kromah.

2025 OL Juan Gaston has been a frequent visitor to Tennessee and the coveted tackle plans to return to Knoxville next month for Tennessee’s first Junior Day of the year. He has connected well with the staff and thinks highly of the Vols early in his process. Florida State and Georgia are the other two teams firmly entrenched in this recruitment, in our opinion.

Tennessee continues to keep close tabs on Peach State offensive tackle Juan Gaston. He tells us this week that the Vols have continued to make him feel like a strong priority of late. He was supposed to be on campus last weekend, but the inclement weather prevented it. He says he is actively working to get that visit rescheduled and plans to be back on campus before the dead period and again in the spring.

No one blocks like Gaston...
No one's slick as Gaston
No one's quick as Gaston
No one's neck's as incredibly thick as Gaston
Some real missed opportunities here.

Obviously, it should be...
No Juan's slick as Gaston
No Juan's quick as Gaston
No Juan's neck's as incredibly thick as Gaston

Do better, people. 😀
