It hurts that his top 5 looks like an SAT question: Which of these does not belong? We stick out like a sore thumb in that list.

And OL tend to commit when they know where their quarterback is going.

Once you get the top QB prospect to buy in it becomes easier to get others to do same. It is why missing on Ty hurt early. If you get ty early then you might have seen some of instate crop jump in. Sometimes good things come to those who wait though as we may end up with the better QB at end of the day

So. What does that have to do with Nichols not coming to Tennessee? Jackson had more offers than Nichols. Since we got Jackson, we helped our chances with Nichols.
Yeah I agree that helps our chances but it’s been less than 24 hours since Jackson committed and the staff found out yesterday so it wasn’t like he was a silent. Maybe he knew about the commitment and then dropped the top 5.

He's not a girl.

But I do wonder why his parents named HIM "Addison".

Ive never known a guy Addison...
I've known an Atticus!

Just FYI...it's a boy's name of English origin meaning "son of Adam." It just recently in the last 15-20 years became popular among girl's names.

Kind of similar to Madison.

Gonna be that way for awhile

Honestly, it's looked that way for a couple of years and now we know why we may have made so many Top 5's of elite players against elite teams during the Beldar era. At least now we can suspect strongly that we are in this kid's top 5 for the right reasons.

Rivals has UT as #1 Contender
1. TENNESSEE
There are a lot of connections between Nichols and Tennessee and it would be no surprise if the Vols won out in his recruitment. His mother went to school there and his grandparents still live in Knoxville and so those could be major considerations for Nichols but certainly not the only ones. The four-star had a strong relationship with former coach Jeremy Pruitt and he’s in the early stages of getting to know new coach Josh Heupel and offensive line coach Glen Elarbee. It’s going well and an official visit is coming up so Tennessee is definitely one of the top contenders.
