'22 GA EDGE Joshua Josephs (Tennessee signee)

I know the "well spoken" thing has become a running joke here, but bringing in intelligent kids with high football IQs will be very important in this class and the next. Due to all the attrition, there will be a lot of kids depended on immediately for depth purposes. They won't have 2 or 3 years to learn the system. They'll need to pick it up quickly. Being well spoken and having offers from schools like Stanford and Northwestern show a certain level of intelligence. This is not as important at positions like WR or RB, but at nearly every other position being a student of the game helps you see the field faster. Otherwise you'll purely be on special teams or a situational type player.
Articulated and presented with concise points.

TOP EDGE-RUSHER TARGET HIGH ON VOLS
Edge rusher Joshua Josephs of North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Ga., has been high on Tennessee for months, and while the competition for him has continued to heat up, that still appears to be the case going into his senior season. Michigan and Kentucky recently have been widely viewed as the top contenders for Josephs, with South Carolina and Auburn — which hosted him on visits in late July — also now in the picture. But sources said his strong relationship with the Vols, who extended an offer to him in March, has put them in good position with Josephs as he moves toward a planned Oct. 1 commitment.
Josephs is planning to take a few more visits leading up to his announcement, including an official visit to Tennessee next month that’s expected to be for either the Vols’ home game Sept. 11 against Pittsburgh or the weekend of Sept. 18, when the Vols play host to Tennessee Tech. He also traveled to Knoxville twice in June. Kentucky is expected to host Josephs on an official visit next month, too.
