Can’t do it like Neyland, that’s rarified air, but they can get it rocking during a home night game
-VQTennessee was able to get 2026 South Carolina LB commit Rodney Colton to campus on back-to-back weekend, and the Vols were able to build some momentum here, in our estimation. He has connected well with this staff and enjoys what he has watched from the linebackers on the field. There is a long way to go in the one, but the Vols are very much in the thick of things after the past two weekends.
-Matt RayTennessee is making a real run at 2026 South Carolina LB commit Rodney Colton. It’s telling that he chose to return here this weekend for the 3rd straight game vs going back to South Carolina for their matchup against A&M. He loves the rotation at LB and is growing more and more comfortable with the staff. Doesn’t feel like he’s rushing to do anything, but Tennessee is climbing in this one.
Tennessee continues to ascend the board for South Carolina linebacker commit Rodney Colton. He chose to visit Knoxville last weekend over going back to Columbia, which shows just how interested he is in the Vols currently, considering he had been in town for the previous two games.
-VQCredit William Inge and the staff for making Colton comfortable on Rocky Top, and it helps that the Vols have performed well during those visits. Tennessee has made a strong move this fall as he could make a final decision some time in the winter following his junior season. It would not surprise us to see him back on campus for the UTEP game.
hope he didn't bump his headFrom Rivals:
Tennessee remains a favorite for the former South Carolina commit but a weekend visit to Missouri made a major impact as the Tigers remain a serious contender for the four-star linebacker from Newnan, Ga.
“Everything” stood out to Colton during his visit, from how the linebackers play, to the defensive play style to the scheme to how he bonds with position coach Derek Nicholson.
Missouri is right there at the top along with Tennessee as Florida State, Florida, Georgia and others are involved.
