We can only sell a rebuild for so long. We've been doing that since 2007.
With a bunch of nimrods for coaches that couldn't sustain anything. We at least have someone now that is showing consistent improvement and a promising future, and you can bet that recruits notice that.

Why is everyone beefin in this thread
One of those weird subjects where it has to be "all or nothing".
Either "they should come here, because they're from here".
Or "we shouldn't expect any of them to like the home team because we've sucked".

Knew the middle ground was a no-no but **** it, I was in a mood.

This!

Kids want to play for winners. These top recruits don't want to play for a 6-6 team when they can play for a team consistently in CFP contention. Our problem is we haven't been consistently good in 15 years. Do the math, these kids are 15-18 years old and all they have to remember is Tennessee being mediocre.

Absolutely. If and when Pruitt and his staff, by virtue of on-the-field performance, can close the enormous public perception (and rankings) gap between Tennessee and Clemson, the Tigers will find it much harder to raid our back yard for marquis prospects.

Fulmer feasted on SC talent.
