'26 GA LB Brayden Rouse (Tennessee)

Perlotte 2.0
I don’t understand the Perlotte love when Spillman was so much better. Perlotte is fast but is light years behind Spillman on his angles and knowledge. Spillman will be a monster next year and Harmon will get a lot more reps. I enjoy watching him flash his speed but I could easily see Harmon and even these Freshmen pushing for some of his playing time.

The more our younger, faster, and more athletic LBs like Spillman, Perlotte, Rouse, and Harmon can work their way up the depth chart, the better. I.e., take time from Telander.

Spillman also has an extra year in college on Perlotte, and generally speaking they're referring to it as an athletic comparison between the two. Spillman had nothing to do with it, and no one suggested Perlotte or Rouse was better than Spillman.

Rouse is set to arrive at 6-3, 210 and very athletic. Perlotte played this season at a listed 6-4, 210 and you acknowledged his athleticism. It's a reasonable comparison.

Spillman is 6-1, 230 and TJ White would probably be the incoming freshmen that would be most similar to Spillman. White is set to arrive at 6-2, 237 and is known as an explosive all-around linebacker.

No one said anything bad about Spillman. He didn't need defending here.

I'm mildly surprised Telander didn't enter the portal to try and land a nicer NIL deal built on the idea of him having so much SEC starting experience and 158 career total tackles. UNC would have made a lot of sense as they lost their top 2 LBs. Duke lost 2 of their top 3.

Rouse has a chance to be the best player in this '26 class for us. Yes, even better than Faizon and Keys.

He's still learning the position but the potential just oozes off the charts from an athletic perspective. He has extremely rare hands and an ability to cover for a LB prospect.

Honestly our '26 class is just loaded...it's no wonder our coaches feel like this is the best class in the country.
