And we'll take Javonte Smith on the 8th as well. I see the strategy the staff is going with, and I'm all in on it.

Combay is no scrub. It was us and Georgia recruiting him at one point before Georgia landed a couple other higher rated safeties. South Carolina is also in his top four and they have put several DBs in the NFL over the last few years.

However, I do agree that the staff's approach seems to be going all in on top 100 blue chip guys and then fill in our class with more developmental players behind them that are willing to stay in the program for multiple years.

I’d take Combay even if he and Rouse weren’t teammates. He’s a fantastic prospect.

Doesn’t make me feel great either, but there’s been plenty of battles even at the end of the cycle that we won out on. Sanders and Campbell last year, Boo the year before, Weathersby and Carter in 2023. We can’t recruit with the best of them, selectively, at the moment.
