Let me preface this. I've been an avid SEC fan all my life. I've had season tickets in the past at Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. Been to just about every stadium in the conference and several rivalry games for different schools.

Now that I've said that, let me rant a second. I took my wife and two kids to the game today. Wife and 3 year old are Georgia fans (we live here in GA). My son and I TN fans. The 3 year old was in her cheerleading outfit. Son was in a TN shirt and hat. I've never seen such terrible fans in all my life. I've been to several GA games and their fans are just the absolute nastiest in the conference. We were cursed at, screamed at, given one finger salutes, and even had a GA fan approach me screaming expletives while I had my daughter on my shoulders and my son clinging to my shirt while we tried to escape Athens.

I guess we are big rivals to them, but I don't include them in my top two or three the other way around. I suppose they have a lot of resentment built up towards TN in general. I suppose it doesn't help that we rape and pillage their in state recruits or that we have had their number for a while.

What is it that makes them so terrible?

They're sore losers for sure (a big majority). I live here as well. Their last minute touchdown I got texts and my Facebook was filled with go dawgs. When it ended, I got texts and Facebook was filled with the refs helped Georgia lose. Sad

From UGA boards

Lol
I honestly don't think I've been more pissed off after a loss.
That was some of the sorriest bit of coaching in the last five minutes as I have ever seen. Why in the cowboy "heck" do you kick the ball short when all they need is a field goal to tie? If you kick it deep and tackle them then he isn't even close enough to throw it to the end zone. We just continue to find more and more creative ways to lose games that we have in hand. Now I am going to have to be mad for the rest of the year as I am sure this is going to be highlight material before every game.

. I want us to be great so bad and I can see such big giant glimmers of hope that is just kills me when we lose like this...I'm just going to bask in misery, anger, and self pity. That and the fact that because I live in Gaterd country I will have to listen to all of them bask in their glorious 13 to 6 win over Vandy.

I'm starting a class action against the refs. Give me a heads up if you want in

Don't know when these coaches will learn, but when you play not to lose, your gonna lose.

This loss came directly off of that stupid decision to not kick the damn ball.

Under the previous HC we would have folded after half time. But my god does Kirby have some damn learning to do.

And sorry for all the cursing. If it's too much Steve just delete my post.
Some skepticism with Richt gone prompted this exchange
Keep ***king Richt off do**** bag. It's the only thing you are fit to do. It's an insipid criticism from a stupid moron who isn't fit to be called a Dawg.

If your mascot was an inbred dog that's too fat to move, you'd be upset too.

I make people so mad about this. I tell them our dog can hunt, track, and fight. Theirs greatest accomplishment is licking himself.

What amazes me about them is they think they are trending up somehow too....read their message boards and you'll see the moral victory parade out in force.

I seem to remember some games that we "almost" won under Dools like that LSU debacle. Hell, their season is starting of remarkably like our Dooley years. Beat an early non-conf mid tier team, get blown out on the road, lose in a spectacular way in a close game. Hope they keep it up and Smart fails miserably. I hate those guys almost as much as UF and Bama, if not maybe just as much.

I lived there for six years and took a lot of abuse. It has been 35 years since Hershell carried Derek's daddy to a Natty. No school has not lived up to so much hype as the Dawgs since. With so much talent in their backyard, they have always been so close but not quite. That said, Eason will be special and a star.

Am I missing something? Why are they so sour about the refs?

They think Dobbs didn't make it in the endzone. They think we were pass interfering. They don't like the incomplete pass where we got another play off.

No congratulations necessary nor a pat on the back, but to be completely obnoxious in victory and angry enough to incite violence in defeat is schizo and has no place in a public and (what should be) family friendly setting. We weren't down at the local watering hole. We are at a football game. I've seen plenty of nail biters and close calls. I can't think of another fan base that is as psychotic as UGA. Just darn right mean. And that's after seeing their fans in contest after contest.

Listening to their post game report on the radio they are calling for the refs to be tarred and feathered. I thought they got most of the calls and no calls.

They are without a doubt the worst. I'll never forget the 2007 game, we were smoking them in Neyland. Trashy drunk UGA fan was so mad he tore one of those gray season ticket holder seats off the bench and just hurled it into the stands below him. Idk where it landed, hope it didn't seriously hurt anyone. Security came and he ran like a b****.

They are complete trash and today was oh so sweet.

I live in this God forsaken state (not sure why at this point) and I hate this fan base with a passion. Never seen a group of fans feel so entitled when they haven't won anything in over 35 years. They do less with more than any team in college football.
