Don’t like that quote
This one is trending away imo. Just don’t see us matching Ga Tech dollar wise.

Personally, I’d be totally fine if we added Jaylen Thomas and then retained the rest of our class (especially Moa who is now visiting Michigan).

Our roster needs are more immediate via the portal than a couple of late flips from high school.

Every school seems to have some recruits they throw big NIL$ towards then they don’t get value in return like Boo &Nico for us. Swinging big at a few may not prove to be the better strategy versus spreading NIL$ more evenly across a higher number of players? Time will tell

Apparent Georgia tech is throwing a bunch of NIL to in state kids
They have been. Georgia Tech is a threat when you see them on a recruit's list now, especially for Georgia kids. Georgia really ought to be worried. It's why they've been significantly better and they will almost certainly continue to land more players. When you're in a major Metropolitan City in the NIL era, that's a huge advantage. See Vanderbilt.

What we have to worry about when going against schools like GT is this guy is more important to their class than ours. So will they purposely pay him more than we are willing to go? Don't know that that is what happens but it's something to watch.

He’s ranked 22nd in the state of Ga in the 247 composite and would be GT’s highest rated in-state commit. I don’t think UGA is all that worried.

And GT’s 2026 class is ranked 50th.

They did it late last class too (i.e. Josh Petty, Christian Garrett). They get a ton of intriguing prospects throughout the prospect and then close out the process with investing into some top-notch local talent in the final stages. Worked really well for them last year.
