For sure. Tyre West had some huge games this year. They just didn't have any meat inside. I like Nathan Robinson but he is not a nose tackle. Had to play there tho bc he at least could offer that long frame. Getting the two nose tackles this class is massive

Don't think you really have a choice on defense. They didn't last offseason and we all saw what happened. Only difference is you lose more key contributors naturally this offseason. LB depends on if Arion comes back or not, but everything else needs talented instant impact veteran bodies

Guessing the play of the DL this season caused the staff to recruit that position with more urgency down the stretch.

And that’s what worries me. They always needed to do that coming into this year. Which is why they needed Transfer Portal guys at DT (and safety). It took them an actual football season to realize this.

I'm not sure I'll be convinced they realize it until I see how we attack those positions in the portal this offseason because none of those freshmen are coming in and making an immediate impact at DL or S.

Great prospects, no doubt, but no immediate contributors from either position in this class. If we take half-hearted approach in the portal to those same areas of need, we will get buried under next year's schedule.
