Really want Quinn but wonder if the staff values Jordan Carter more since he's more likely to grow into a SDE.

We need SDE/DT bodies more than LEO next year. Losing Dom Bailey, Eason, Moi and West and that's not including inevitable transfers.

Need to land one of the two.

Yeah Carter has a strong side DE frame that could maybe grow into a DT or hybrid DE/DT.

Could actually see him developing into a player very similar to Tyre West. A bit of a tweener size wise but elite twich/speed for a down DL.

Quinn is much more of a natural edge imo.

Which we need because we don’t rush the QB and play in space well on the DL outside of Leo. Utley shows that potential though.

Utley will be good...he's just a true freshman though. I usually don't worry too much about the dline but we didn't have a lot of depth there this year, especially on the interior. We need help on the backend in the worst way though (primarily safety).

At this point, I would prefer the bigger kid in Carter. Our weakness this year on the D-line has been the drop off in size. Need more SDEs and space eaters at DT. Got quite a few LEOs Ross, Herring, and even Dye.

I think we've definitely been missing Omari Thomas and Elijah Simmons. Our d-line was better with a big space eater next to an athletic big guy as our two guys inside. Having Thomas and Norman-Lott backed up by Simmons and Eason was much more of a luxury than we realized.
