It honestly doesn't matter anymore. We already have the class that's going to take us to the next level and with rivals dropping all of our elite players, the metrics don't matter. This is an amazing class. Plain and simple.
What makes this class even more palatable, if not down right impressive, is that we know we are going to fill any holes in the roster with elite players from the portal.

Ideally the class that is going to take the program to the next level is 2027 bc it would mean they would hit on way more top top recruits than this class, which is not a slight toward 2026 class. The top of the 2026 class is loaded, but there is so much potential next year that is realistic due to actually having a actual strong in-state class to pick from

Listed at 6’3.5”. He looks 6’6” out there.
Long arms and quick on his feet.

Joseph’s is having a good season but Caleb Herring is the one that is really flashing. Averaging a sack a game.
6’5” 245 long arms and of course needs to get better in run support but boy is he coming around in pass rush!

Ross looks good whenever he does get to play. They really to play them both more at the same time.

So bench West and play someone worse against the run?

OR
Move West inside like they’ve been doing from time to time anyway….
West isn’t going to the bench for sure. His hit got us a key touchdown and he is playing well. He will probably play inside more as we go down the stretch but at times he will still play outside. He moves in and out now as it is. GBO

Herring is looking like he may be turning a corner to being very very good. He looks like he is getting bigger and faster. It seems like he is really coming on. Herring,Ross and Joseph all have high ceilings. We need them to keep growing and getting better. GBO

I think Herring's issue in the past was more about understanding the defense and how he fit in against whatever the defense was doing. Getting bigger helped, but the main change is the mental from what I have seen.

He is reacting more than thinking now, knows where he needs to be, and isn't taking himself out of plays now.

Unless I’m blind, He took himself out of several running plays by crashing down and giving up the edge without really being blocked. Looked great on passing plays especially against 74, but so did the rest of our DL as 74 about got their QB killed.

thats fair, better doesn't mean perfect.
