You know that's not something that really happens, right? A buddy of mine tested that argument and used just 247 rankings and went back 6 years. Only 16% of our commitments dropped in rankings after committing. .84% either stayed the same or got bumped.. Obviously, that number could fluctuate based on which recruiting site you use. I get it, our fans think everyone is against us and hate us, kind of like a conspiracy theory. But, the dropping in rankings thing just isn't accurate. They've been bumped up way more than being droppedIf we get this guy, he will definitely drop in the rankings. My guess out of the top 10

He will drop in the rankings, they not going to allow a Tennessee commit to finish #1. There has been plenty of examples of prospects rankings dramatically changing b/c of the school they committed to. Your buddy should do a deep dive on how far the 16% dropped and how far the risers rose. You know that's not something that really happens, right? True. I wasnt trying to make a bold statement, just stating I think he will drop because some teams get bigger bumps than others. To say somebody will drop from #1 when their Sr season hasn’t started yet isn’t a bold prediction. Only one way to go when you’re 1. Lots of recruiting updates to happen.
