Tennessee has also done a very nice job of evaluating defensive back prospects in each cycle. The Vols extended an early offer to Langston Hughes (Ga.) defensive back Dale Perry back in February. He is a long, athletic cornerback who makes plays in multiple phases. He has picked up offers from Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Florida State, and Mississippi State, among others, since his sophomore season.

Perry tells us that Tennessee has made him feel like a priority in the recruiting process, and he will make the trip north to Knoxville for a visit in the fall.

Another 2028 defensive back who Tennessee is off to a nice start with is Dale Perry. We have mentioned him before in the War Room, and he is now ready to return to Rocky Top. The Peach State product tells us he plans to be in town for the Auburn and Alabama games in the month of October. Ole Miss is another team keeping close tabs on Perry. The 6-3 defensive back appears primed for a strong season at Langston Hughes in 2026.

Take on name alone. It’s 2026 and his name is Dale? Yeah he’s a dude.

Tall Cornerbacks are a premium now. Richard Sherman changed the trend.

Tennessee will get 2028 Peach State CB Dale Perry back to campus again. The Vols have been a constant in the recruitment of the long, athletic cornerback, and he continues to show plenty of interest as well.
