Vols found a way to beat a 4-0 SEC team on the road regardless of name on front of jersey. Never easy these are. Frankly much like we deserved to win the UGA game we deserved to lose this one. Still a lot of opportunity for improvement and to peak later.

We are obviously not a great team either. There’s definitely a lot of work to do. Disappointed in our run defense tonight. Take away sacks and we gave up over 200 yards on the ground. That ain’t gonna work going forward.

Miss State is drastically improved. They will beat someone this year they’re not favored against. But tonight I’ll take the W given we deserved the L.

Exactly. Only way to change it is to have a season starting playoff with ranked teams.

Also this game was their Super Bowl. We made mistakes but they aren’t a bad team. There are no SEC cakewalk road trips this year except maybe Kentucky. They are steaming crap

Coaches deserve criticism but they also deserve praise for the brilliance in OT.

I saw Tennessee play flat against a decent SEC team with a fired up home crowd (with those damned cowbells) on the road and we were still able to come away with the win. A TD was taken off the board by that horrible offensive PI late in the game as well. I have zero complaints. The MSU fan sitting next to me at the bar who started doing shots after the game was over was just icing on the cake. Good win! I'll take it, and enjoy next weeks games while my Vols are getting healthy. I am at peace in my habitation for the next two weeks.

TN coming to town still means something to these schools we don’t play every year. It’s a season defining win if they can get it. They were absolutely about to storm the field. You never take a road game for granted. Some of us tried to preach that all week.

The line was 7.5 and we won by 7. We were more than capable of beating them by double digits but unfortunately had too many mistakes. You always take the win regardless

I don't think we deserved to lose. We played a pretty good team. The breaks were about even. Both teams played hard. When they had it first and goal in OT we stepped up and got the win.
