I love the fact that he does not have Clemson in his top 10lol:

People laugh at this guy but go look up how different the final AP poll is from the preseason AP poll.
Every year 2-3 of the top 10 flame out and fall completely out of the top 25. And you always get 2-3 teams that are unranked to start the year and finish in the top 10.
History tells us Clemson not finishing in the top 10 is very possible.
Generally ibwould agree...but Clemson doesn't play anyone. Fsu..and that's about it. UnC will be about as good as a middle of the pack sec team...the rset of the acc is garbage. Kentucky could go 9 and 3 in the acc easily. Clemson will go 10 and 2 or 11 and 1 at worst...could easily run the table back into the playoffs.

Ignorance of other conferences doesn't make them bad. UK recruits below a lot of ACC teams and their coach wouldn't be in the top 5 ACC coaches.
People only remember what they saw last. So because Clemson dominated Oklahoma in the playoffs and played well against Alabama in the title game, most people assume they were dominant last season.
Truth is they actually struggled in several games last year. At Louisville and at Syracuse were one possession games late in the 4th quarter. They barely squeaked past a South Carolina team that lost to the Citadel the week earlier. And also needed a bogus onside kick ruling to close out North Carolina in the ACC championship game. And thats not including the FSU game which they trailed for most of early parts of the game and only put it away late in the 4th.
I'm not saying Clemson will definitely lose 3 games this season. But it wouldn't surprise me if they did.
I think Auburn has a good chance to beat them. I think FSU beats them. And then who knows. They could fall to someone like Boston College in a surprise.
Clemson's offense should be potent, no doubt. But what made them so good last year was their defense and they have to replace a lot. I think Venables is one of the best DCs in CFB (top 10, IMO), but they'll have a lot of youth on that defense. They'll have to rely on their offense much more this year.
I also wouldn't be surprised if FSU wins the ACC over Clemson this year.
