People are going to be upset that I post this but the math is terrible here. How can you have over 40% of your scholarships in the same class? I'm sorry, but that's not smart and that's not how you sustain. This class is good, it ain't THAT good, if the idea is to weed out the weaker players than that is very unethical, particularly when you can see who the weaker players are right now and you are still accepting commitments from them.

It'll all work itself out...unless it doesn't.

Well...I see your logic except that any gray shirts count against next year's class (not this year) and sometimes 4*'s and 5*'s are bust and 2*'s turn into All-Americans. Just saying that it is not as black and white as you make it seem on who the stronger and weaker players are.

Chill out dude :salute::salute::salute:
Wait three weeks before you have a stoke thinking about recruits and numbers. It will all work out and I can guarantee you that it will not affect your daily life one bit :rock::rock:

Why would you want guys that are not good enough to be part of a 30 man class to be part of a 20 man class?

A lot of these guys are going to redshirt. They won't all be leaving at once.

Because we don't have enough talent to field a two deep without using walkons. And we've been using them for years. That's why you sign 35+

I would say the coaches don't think they are, hence the greyshirting.

Oh okay. So the coaches don't think some guys can help the program, but they accepted their commitments anyway? And speaking of greyshirting, do you have a list of guys that the coaches are planning on greyshirting, or are you the guy that decides who to greyshirt?

When you factor in the guys who will redshirt or grayshirt and then the juco players who will not be freshmen they are stocking up for next couple of seasons. I forgot about the players that have left the team this year. Trust the coaches to do their jobs.

Obviously a number that isn't going to put you in the same position again in a few years or cause you to miss out on better prospects in the future.

so you would rather us not recruit a good player now, because it might keep us from getting one later?

ever hear the saying bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush?

What? If they are going to have to, or choose to, greyshirt, blue shirt, redshirt, or any other shirt, there really isn't that big of a need to sign 35.

most Olineman and Dlineman need a year to just be in a weight room. that will be the majority of our redshirts. we have a huge need at both.

If there is a pile of $100 bills in front of me, and I can legally have them; then, I am going to grab everyone possible.

If 35 is the number....we need the talent. Sign everyone possible.
